South Shore Pediatric Dentistrys goal is to provide a modern, fun, clean, safe and a state-of-the-art dental facility. Our practice is dedicated to treating infants, children and adolescents in the most caring and comfortable environment. We want to help your children to develop good oral hygiene skills and a positive attitude toward dental and oral health. The office is designed with our little patients, their parents and guardians and the Earth in mind. Our office is paperless; we offer digital radiography, amalgam-free (usually means less tooth structure removal), gluten-free and latex-free dental products when available. For your little ones entertainment, we offer remote-free computer games, childrens toys and books, and a playhouse that is constructed of white-cedar, free of toxins and made in Maine, USA. We welcome and encourage your involvement in all your childs dental care, so please feel free to accompany your child during his/her treatment. However, to prevent distraction to your child and maintain the privacy of other patients, we request that only one accompanying parent per child in our treatment areas, especially in quiet treatment room.
We are proud to introduce you to our Massachusetts native pediatric dentist, Dr. Sally Hua and our orthodontist, Dr. Moonyoung Lee. Dr. Sally Hua is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. Moonyoung Lee is a Diplomate of the American Association of Orthodontists. Therefore, as a board certified pediatric dentist and orthodontist, our doctors have received the highest training and credentials in their respected fields of dental specialties. Your child will receive dental treatment from one of the best pediatric and orthodontic dental providers in the South Shore area.
Dr. Sally Hua, 'Dr. Sally' grew up in Quincy and Braintree, MA. Dr. Sally attended Braintree High School and graduated as Class Scholar, ranked as top 10 of her graduating class. She continued to attend the nations first all womens college, Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. She graduated cum laude with a BA in Biology. After graduation, she traveled to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to study Information Technology and to visit Lone Pine Sanctuary where the little koalas live. Upon graduation from University of Queensland, she returned to the US to pursue her dental education. She entered the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine as a Deans Scholar, an honor given to the top ten students of the incoming class. To pursue her passion of treating little patients, Dr. Sally embarked on a 2 years residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also earned her Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Sally is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest credentials in the field of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Sally holds a courtesy staff position at Franciscan Hospital for Children, Brighton, MA since 2010. Dr. Sally is a member of Massachusetts Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Virginia and Southeastern Societies of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sally loves learning new languages and speaks Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian and basic Spanish. When not treating patients, Dr. Sally enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband Darren and her children Preston, Sienna and Tristan.
Dr. Amy Kim is from Southern California. She obtained her B.A. in Neuroscience from Smith College and completed her Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at UMDNJ. Dr. Amy further pursued her education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated with D.M.D. Shortly after graduation, she worked in the Advanced Education General Dentistry program at the Winslow Indian Health Care Center in Arizona. Dr. Amy obtained her post-graduate specialty training in pediatric dentistry as chief resident at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Currently Dr. Amy resides in Boston, MA with her sister and their 10 year old dog, Annie. During her free time, Dr. Amy enjoys hiking and traveling with her family. She is excited to be a part of the South Shore Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Moonyoung Lee graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2009 and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After dental school, he continued his training at Tufts and received his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and Master's of Science in 2012. During his residency, Dr. Lee published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and completed his research thesis on the development of three dimensionally based skeletal analysis using cone beam computed tomography. Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Assistant Clinical Professor in the Orthodontics Department at Tufts University. Dr. Lee actively participates in continuing education and offers modern orthodontic techniques including Invisalign, Lingual Braces and temporary anchorage devices. In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys running, cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
