Dr. Jeff Blackburn is an award-winning general and cosmetic dentist who has established an impressive track record of success in serving the oral health needs of his patients in and around Richmond, VA. For the past 35 plus years, he has worked diligently to develop his practice into a state-of-the-art facility that offers comprehensive, individualized care for dramatically improving the oral health and appearance of patients teeth and gums. After he graduated from the Medical College of Virginia / Virginia Commonwealth University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Blackburn established South River Dentistry in Midlothian in 1985. Since opening his practice, he has maintained an unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality cosmetic dentistry, advanced dental care, and customer service in the Richmond area.
As one of a select group of research evaluators with Clinical Research Associates (and their publication Clinicians Report), one of the largest independent dental research organizations in the world, Dr. Blackburn has gained experience with some of the most innovative techniques and technology in dentistry today.
Dr. Blackburn has earned Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and has received the distinction of being named One of Americas Top Dentists. He is also a renowned national speaker, lecturing frequently for business and dental professionals on topics including personal motivation and practice management.
Dr. Blackburn and his wife, Jennifer, share six children and reside in Midlothian, Virginia. He has always been extremely active in the Richmond community through coaching multiple AAU baseball teams, basketball teams, and high school baseball. He is proud to use his professional skills as the team dentist for the Richmond Flying Squirrels. In addition to his community activities, Dr. Blackburn also contributes his time to the Massey Cancer Center as a spokesperson, supporter, and fundraiser.

Life & Hobbies: As a native of Virginia, I grew up in Western, VA and moved to Richmond in 1988. I enjoy snow skiing, swimming, life guarding, biking, traveling to Hilton Head, SC with my family. I also enjoy traveling in and out of the US with my closest, life-long friends.
Life & Hobbies: I've been married for 5 years to my husband George. We have two daughters, Alivia and Ava. We own a residential/commercial cleaning company. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, experiencing fine dining and fishing.
Life & Hobbies: I am a Virginia native and was born and raised in Dinwiddie, VA. Outside of the office, I enjoy baseball, basketball, playing softball on a co-ed team and spending time with my 2 daughters and family.
Education and Professional Background: I started working in the dental industry after graduating high school in 2001 and have taken continuing education courses for radiographs, sedation dentistry, etc.
Life & Hobbies: I am very involved in my church and teach Kindergarten through 1st Graders. I am also the childcare coordinator for a non-profit organization for teen moms. In my spare time, I like to hang out with friends and my dog, Sincy.
