Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Update: I left here months ago. Management must be terrible. There was a different dentist everytime I came for an appt (every 3 months at least)! Many of my appts were canceled last minute because there simply wasn't a dentist working there anymore. When they told me they didn't know when they could reschedule my last appt. (For lack of a dentist), I finally gave up and started going to their sister office in Chantilly. I was disappointed when Dr. Bhangra left the practice, but Dr. Burns is great. She's very thorough, and gave me great recommendations for my toothbrush, toothpaste, and even flossing. Her direct manner made me want to do a better job before my next cleaning, but I didn't feel like she was nagging me. The office itself is very nice and clean, they take all the Covid precautions, and all of the other staff was very friendly.

made my mom an appointment today and she came with my sister 20 minutes before her appointment time. the front lady seems to not be helpful at all and goes and talks to a male dentist. i even called 3 more times while my mom and sister were there and they just let the phone rang 3 times knowing someone's calling purposely ignoring. Before their appointment time i called exactly 8 times and for 2 hours straight they didn't answer. funny enough they don't even have any costumers they're dealing with. they just like talking to each other. would not recommend, very unprofessional and they don't care about your teeth/health.

Will not come back. Full bait and switch, in the call they said one thing and in person they completely changed it and denied that they cannot be responsible for the call center promises. Totally messed up my son's xray using the clamps violently and now he has blisters in his mouth.

Don't come to this place. My insurance was billed four X-ray charges for a regular cleaning. The bill is totally messed up with some other random charges with no clues. I waited more than 40min in my first appointment and it took me more than 2 hrs to do a cleaning.

Misleading customers they said in network but they don't After they confirmed in network , complete service, they start sending out of network invoices,, they have terrible invoice follow up, and terrible customer service !!!

Won't be coming back to this practice. I have been overcharged twice for services done over a month ago and the issue is still not resolved. First time my card was charged almost $400 more than the agreed intended amount (you can imagine the horror when I checked my account after my appointment). I called and they apologized then refunded the money right away. Cool no problem. Few days go by and I call to let them know the issue was resolved with the bank and to go ahead and bill the correct amount. I check my account and again the incorrect amount was charged, this time $90 extra. I proceed to call again and was told "give me a few days and I'll get back in touch after we look into your account." A whole week goes by and I don't hear from anyone. I called again explaining the situation and was told they will refund the whole total amount like the first time and once that clears they will bill the correct amount. It's been about another week and no one has refunded the charge. I'm not sure what is so difficult about charging someone's card the correct amount. Not once but twice. This is ridiculous. At this point, I should be refunded and not have to pay at all.

Update: I finally got a response and they were helpful with resolving things. My initial visit was great. I setup an appointment and was taken care of with minimal wait time. The staff was super friendly and helpful during my visit. However, I've tried to get in touch with them multiple times since my visit and its impossible to get an answer unless you call them which isn't always easy and convenient to do. I just don't understand the point of having an online contact form or email accounts if they aren't going to be checked. I'm certainly at the point that I'm considering going somewhere else because communication is crucial in my opinion. This would be a shame because they really were incredible in person.

Just changed practices to South Riding Modern Family Dentistry because of insurance. Very clean! Staff and front desk are very friendly and accommodating to families. The dentist (Dr. Chon) and hygienist (Barbara) were all very thorough, took time to answer any questions I had, explain their analysis and make helpful dental hygiene suggestions. They were all very supportive of my 5 year old getting her teeth cleaned and checked, and emphasized every effort to make sure she felt safe and comfortable through the whole appointment. Very much looking forward to building a relationship with the staff at this practice for years to come!

Dr. Chon saw me this morning as an emergency patient. I cracked my tooth in half and needed a crown. Dr. Chon and her assistant, Pavi, are truly amazing!! I am extremely picky, not to mention a big baby when it comes to pain. I can honestly say, I felt no pain during the process and the results are amazing!! You will not be sorry choosing Dr. Chon and Pavi for your dental needs! They are caring, professional, and their work is impeccable.

Dr. Burns is great! I appreciate how she tells you what she is about to do. Like "I'm about to check your gum health" most dental places don't do that so I appreciate the instant information. They have great customer service here! I will be back for my 6th month checkup :)

South Riding Modern Dentistry is fantastic! My family has used another dentist in the area for nearly 20 years. Because of a change in our insurance, we had to leave to find another practice. The team at South Riding Modern Dentistry is just great! Professional, knowledgeable, friendly... everything you would want and more. Highly recommended!
