He graduated with Honors in Pre-Med from North Carolina State University. Dr. McCord then graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.). The Following year, Dr. McCord was chosen to serve an additional year of advanced training in the Dental Residency Program at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, now knownas Carolinas Medical Center Atrium.
Dr. Christopher Maino was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He came to North Carolina after practicing dentistry in Michigan for over 20 years. Dr. Maino is willing and eager to listen to his patients, and to help them solve their dental needs together.
He finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. He then attended and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Maino was selected for advanced training and attended the General Practice Residency at The Medical College of Ohio.
Dr. Starr attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate studies with majors in both Physics and Chemistry. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduating she practiced in Greenville, NC at both an adult office and a pediatric office.
Dr. Matthew Rodda grew up in Upstate New York. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he pursued further education by completing a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York. Through this training, Dr. Rodda gained extensive knowledge in state-of-the-art general dentistry and treating medically complex patients.
Dr. Rodda prides himself on providing personalized, comfortable, and high-quality care. He works hard to ensure his patients are educated and understand all their treatment options, so they may choose the best way to reach their dental health goals. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and provides a broad range of treatment services. Dr. Rodda is routinely engaged in continuing education and stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Spear Education.
Dr. Rodda is excited to be a part of the Charlotte, North Carolina community. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his fianc Dana, family, and friends. Some of his favorite activities include exercising, exploring the outdoors, traveling, playing guitar, and listening to live music.
Dr. Clark was born and raised in small town of Seneca Falls, nestled in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY. He attended Bucknell University for his undergraduate studies where he received a degree in Biology. After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University, he advanced his education with a General Practice Residency at the University of Rochester. Dr. Clark has finally settled in Charlotte and is excited to provide his experience and quality care to his patients. When he is not working, Dr. Clark enjoys soccer - he is currently looking to join a soccer league in the area, running and exploring the mountains and beaches of North Carolina with his wife.

they lied to me and said they were in network on the phone and then in person they lied and told me they were in network. and then after i went to them and had services done. i found out they are not in network.. and they charge a lot more for services.. no negotiated rates they charge extra high rates.. what a scam.. very dishonest people, very nice until you learn the truth you are being over charged. then they are very rude and nasty..

I received outstanding customer service from South Point Dentistry. The staff treated me like family. Everyone from the front desk staff, the dental hygienist and the dentist were very kind. My dental hygienist was Joy yesterday and my teeth look and feel great. I will be sticking with this dental practice.

Best dentist office EVER!! Drs. Gary McCord, Maino, Macken & Rodda are ALL EXCELLENT dentists. Additionally, the staff in this office are all AMAZING! From the hygienists to the office staff, these folks are the best around. I wouldn't switch no matter what!

Wonderful experience, Dr. McCord was attentive, courteous and completed all my dental work in one visit. I recently relocated to Moore, SC from Charleston and needed to find a new dentist. A friend that lives in Belmont highly recommended South Point Family Denistry. Though it was a two hour drive, I am so glad I made the trip. Upon arrival I was immediately welcomed by the staff and promptly taken back to the procedure room. Dr. McCord took the time to explain what needed to be done and addressed my bite issue that caused the problem. I was extremely pleased with the result of his treatment plan. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I will be returning for any future dental needs.

So far it is good. The dentists and hygienists are very nice but some of the people in the front desk are not so nice. I will keep updating this review after my visits. I have only been in this establishment once so we'll see.

I was seen today as a new patient with Sarah and Dr. Kumar and omg they were so amazing! Sarah is one of the best, if not the best hygienists I've ever had!!! My teeth have never felt cleaner and she was so gentle and thorough! Dr. Kumar came and did an exam and seemed very sweet! I had a great experience and when you come, make sure you ask for Sarah! You won't regret it

This is LORI COLLIER using my husband's phone to leave more GREAT Feedback! Yes, it's true... I had to have more serious work done & was supposed to go to an oral surgeon because my back tooth had 2 of the roots way down in my bone!!!! I don't like being put to sleep with the oral surgeon stuff!!! I just asked Dr. McCord if he could do it. He looked at everything & said, "Let's do it"!!! I said ok! He started working on me & I kid you not that he had it out within 30 minutes!!!! Not only did he do an amazing job, he also saved me the money it would cost for an anesthesiologist etc... If I would have had to go! He did great and all of his staff are always so kind and work with us better than any Dentist we've ever been to. He's my friend & the GOAT In our book! Dr. McCord and his team are like visiting family. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It's not like the old days when people dreaded going to the dentist. I would suggest for anyone to check them out and like me they will make you feel like part of their family! Moved to the area and went to establish myself with a new dentist at the practice. First visit they told me I had 13 cavities/Fillings I needed done. Kindly declined, called my retired dental hygienist mother who has cleaned my teeth since childhood, and returned to my previous dentist. Shared the X-rays from here to them and turns out I had only one filling from childhood that had to be refilled. Disappointed that my experience seemed more of a money grabbing scheme rather than a conservative, patient-focused approach. Would not recommended.

Dr. McCord and his team are phenomenal!! I had a front crown break mid day and they accommodated me that evening to get it fixed! A front tooth out and cracked is a nightmare of a situation and they made it into a fairytale smile experience. Dr. McCord and staff took amazing care of me and my smile! They exceeded my expectations and have made me a firm believer in this practice! Thankful for this team and the care I was shown at each appointment.

The dentist and staff are friendly. However, I was never informed of charges before services were rendered and my bill was higher than any dentist I have ever been too. I should have been told before the service what to expect for cost then I could have made a decision on my treatment plan. I did speak with the office mgr who apologized, but never resolved anything. Unfortunately, not a good experience for me and my family.

Had to change my dentist because we needed a family place. Got a flyer in the mail and figured I'd try it. My 3 year son and I had an appointment. They were great with him! Two weeks later in the mail They sent us a welcome package for being new clients, it was seriously so sweet of them. And they address a gift to my son as well! He was very excited to open it! I was telling my husband he needs to check if they take his insurance cause I love this place!!

I have been retired for ten years,I don't attend mass gatherings, I only wear a mask 3O minutes twice a week to buy groceries,I don't think that length if time would cause gum inflammation,some people will say anything to demonize wearing a mask. It makes me want to scream

Over 12 years of taking our entire family to South Point Family Dentistry and Dr. McCord should speak for itself. Always friendly and interested in our lives. Recently, I experienced a "real toothache" that resulted in the need for a root canal. Even though the office was short staffed (due to circumstances beyond their control), every single person in that office went above and beyond what was necessary to help make that root canal happen: 1. Dr. McCord made time to see me on his "day off". 2. The office staff (Erica?) called another endodontist on my behalf. 3. When that office was not able to accommodate a quick appointment, Dr. Mason made a special trip over at the end of the next day to do the root canal. (Not his normal in office day.) 4. Blanca, Dr. McCord's assistant, offered to come in to assist the next day, even though her mother had just been admitted to hospice. 5. When Blanca was not able to come in, another dental assistant (whose name I can't remember...sorry about that) came back to work early (following surgery) to help out with the short staffing and worked extended hours to assist with the root canal. 5. Dr. Mason made a phone call to follow up on my progress. What a blessing! I knew that I was in good hands, even though I was in pain. Thank you, everyone at SPFD, for the extraordinary care and service! ~DB
