Gaylee has lived in many places, growing up in an Air Force family, but now resides in Mesa, Arizona, where she has lived the longest. She has been married to Russ for 41 years (May 2020), they have four daughters, two sons, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three granddaughters, one grandson, two dogs, a turtle, and a partridge in a pear tree (and a great sense of humor). Gaylee loves road trips and traveling. She enjoys being crafty and cooking, cross-stitching, watching old movies, and reading.
Gaylee has been in the dental industry for over 20 years. She started her dental career as a Sterilization Technician, then Hygiene Assistant, all while working part-time and going to school to be a Dental Hygienist. Her patients enjoy their time with her and the detail and care she gives with each cleaning.
Gaylee loves the atmosphere at South Mountain Family Dental because Dr. Dickerson sets the tone of the office and is a great dentist. She says he genuinely cares about her patients but also cares for the staff. She likes that the office is a warm, fun place and that she can laugh with co-workers, tease them, cry with them, celebrate with them all while caring for our patients dental needs. She always notices peoples teeth and loves being able to help them have healthy smiles. Easing patients nerves from past negative dental experiences, helping them overcome fears, and getting their beautiful smiles back, make her completely happy!
Dr. Dickerson attended Arizona State University and studied dentistry at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He is always striving to further his dental education and stay on the cutting edge of dentistry through numerous hours of continuing education courses each year. Dr. Dickerson has completed extensive ongoing certifications, including becoming certified as a provider for implant dentistry, 6-month braces techniques, Invisalign technology, and a same-day crown system.
Dr. Dickerson and his wife, Deanna, have been married for over 10 years and have four children. Together, they enjoy hiking, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. They are thrilled to raise their family in the valley of the sun close to their families!
Hobbies: Dr. Dickerson is a local Boy Scout leader and an Eagle Scout, himself. He loves spending time outdoors, especially working on his yard. He is very big into DIY jobs and loves video editing and filming. His hobbies also include basketball, triathlons, and all sports.

This dentist office is amazing!. From the front desk, dental assistant and Dr Dewayne Brueske. They made me feel comfortable, explained everything, made sure I felt no pain. I had never had a good experience in a dental office ever before, until this appointment. I had to have a crown done. They treated me in my first appointment. Did not push me to have a root canal, like other office had tried to do. Recommend 1000%.

Went here to extract all 4 of my wisdom teeth, had it done the next day! Staff was very friendly and the process was smooth. My surgeon (Mark) quickly placed my prescription after a call. Accepted my Metlife insurance and the price was very reasonable compared to average tooth extraction costs. Would definitely recommend this place!

Let me tell you, I really didn't want to go to the dentist. HOWEVER, Dr. Brueske and my hygienist Kenzie were absolutely amazing, so much so that I'm sitting in car right after my appointment writing this. After walking in and being greeted by the receptionists and filling out some new patient paperwork, I was called back right away. This is the first time that I have gotten a cleaning in well over a year. Kenzie did a super thorough job. I was in an out in about an hour, which is crazy to me since we took x-rays, had a full cleaning, and even had me fitted for Invisalign (plus a five year screening that I didn't catch the name of). Dr. Brueske came in and looked over my X-rays, and now very clean teeth! I couldn't recommend this dentistry more. I'm super impressed, and a little bummed I didn't find them sooner.

They upsell you to the max! Inform you that your insurance covers a free cleaning only too leave with a quote and feeling embarrassed will not return here

My mom and I found South Mountain Family Dental after our original dentistry shut down without telling us. South Mountain Family Dental's staff has always been friendly and makes me feel comfortable. They really have been helpful with how to take better care of my teeth. Overall a great place!

South mountain family dental was awesome. I have been trying new dental offices for a few years and after a few nightmare stories I have finally found a place that I know they are going to do a great job every time I go. The hygienist was very fast, thorough and even had some great tips to help keep our dental hygiene tip top. My wife and I are very happy we decided to try them.

South Mountain Family Dental is where its at! The staff is super friendly, funny and attentive. I ALWAYS look forward to my appointments because I feel extremely confident I am in good hands. Plus, I like the new renovations in their office. It looks really spacious, not that I'm fat or anything. Thabk you guys! Happy New Year!

We had to go to the clinic because my son (19) had pain in his jaw and it was swollen. His wisdom teeth were removed a couple of weeks ago. Since we have to fly back to Europe soon we wanted the dentist to take a look. I never met people so kind as at this clinic. They were all so helpful. And despite a X-ray and a consultation by the very nice and professional dentist we did not have to pay a thing! Love these people!

I just LOVE south mountain family dentistry. The staff is super friendly and professional. Dr Dickerson is great! I won't go to anyone else! The office was just recently completely gutted and renovated and now has new state of the art equipment! I would recommend this place to anyone with teeth!

SMFD is an excellent dental office. Thru all the years my wife and I have been patients, all their staff, from reception to hygenist to dentist, have been welcoming, kind, caring, gentle and efficient. With the personnel changes due to the pandemic, they continue to hire and maintain a top notch staff. They utilize state-of-the-art equipment that allows for a comfortable experience. I highly recommend this dental office.
