Dr. Struby completed his undergraduate studies at Creighton University, obtaining a bachelors degree in Medical Physics. After graduation, he worked at St. Josephs Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska conducting osteoporosis research. A Bluejay, through and through, Dr. Struby continued his education at Creighton University, receiving his doctorate of dental surgery from Creightons highly acclaimed dental school. There, he excelled as a member of the Deans List and was awarded the C.C. Mabel Criss Memorial Scholarship. He also received the Academy of General Dentistry Dental Student of the Year Award, reserved for the student who displays superior clinical skills. While at Creighton, Dr. Struby was involved in the Institute for Latin American Concern. It was a program that allowed him to spend two months, working with a team of professionals in rural areas of the Dominican Republic, providing dentistry to the poor, who otherwise had no access to medical or dental care.
Closer to home, Dr. Struby has contributed to the dental health of the underserved in our own community, by participating in the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program and theAdopt-A-Vetprogram. His volunteer efforts have provided high quality dental care as a means to give back to his community.
It is important to Dr. Struby to continually advance his knowledge in all aspects of clinical dentistry, which is why he is a member of theFrank Spear Faculty Club. This is a distinguished group committed to life-long learning and the advancement of dentistry, for patients.
Dr. Struby grew up in the Midwest, but moved to Reno in 2006. He began practicing with the highly-esteemed Dr. Norman Beesley at South Meadows Dental & Orthodontics and values providing high quality dental care and service to his patients. He is proud of his team and welcomes you to pay a visit to meet them.
Dr. Struby and his wife, Meagan, an orthodontist and native Nevadan, have two boys and three girls. Dr. Struby enjoys golf, fishing, and coaching basketball, but his favorite pastime is spending his free-time with his family.
Dr. Meagan Struby is a Board Certified Orthodontist, who takes care to customize treatment plans, tailored to the needs of her patients. She has been providing exceptional orthodontic treatment to her patients for over 15 years. As the first woman orthodontist practicing in the Reno/Sparks area to call Northern Nevada home, Dr. Struby is a third generation Nevadan, who is proud of her familys contribution to our state.
Dr. Struby was born and raised in southern Nevada. After graduating from Bishop Gorman High School, Dr. Struby ventured to University of Portland for her undergraduate studies. There, she was granted the opportunity to study abroad in London with the universitys Summer Biology Program. She earned her degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, and was accepted into dental school in Omaha, Nebraska, shortly thereafter.
Dr. Struby met her husband, Brian, at Creighton Universitys dental school, where they shared an experience of a lifetime on a volunteer dental mission trip. They were granted the opportunity to provide dentistry to underserved people living in remote villages of the Dominican Republic. She left the DR with a little bit of Spanish and an abundance of Dominican smiles.
At Creighton University, Dr. Struby received a well-rounded dental education, excelled academically and graduated with honors, which gained her acceptance to Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for her Orthodontic residency. She received her Master of Science and certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Struby is passionate about creating beautiful, straight, healthy smiles for her patients. She enjoys working with children and adults. She finds challenging cases to be transformative and ultimately rewarding. Dr. Struby LOVES her patients and sees them as an extension of her family. She works hard for them every day.
Family is wildly important to Dr. Struby. When she is not practicing orthodontics, you can find her spending time with her incredible husband and their five amazing children. Some of her favorite, yet simple, pleasures in life are enjoying a cup of coffee, sharing meals outdoors, going for long walks, and dreaming of Disneyland vacations!
You may recognize this beautiful smile from visiting our office. Tonya is one of the kindest people you would ever meet. Prior to her retirement, she always welcomed our patients with her sweet smile. She had treatments which include a combination of bleaching, partial braces, and porcelain crowns. Her teeth turned out great and fulfilled her desire to have a bright, and straight smile.

I caught Jamie, the receptionist from South Meadows Dental, secretly writing down my credit card when I specifically instructed her not to write down my number on the form. There is a paper file with all your personal info and anyone with eyes can see it. Have you not heard of identity theft? Why do you need to do something so shady and make you and your workers suspicious, Jamie? You look like you are stealing my credit card info when you do it discretely and also, when I catch you. Tsk Tsk Tsk...

Not sure what to say other than thank you... Dr. Smith and Marie!!!! Thank you for caring and your kindness... work Done by another office went not so right....Dr. Smith and Marie kept It light and real. In the end I had A major tooth pulled. no Advil or pain killers 24 hours later and don't need them. Thank you Dr Smith and Marie!!!! You and your effort and ability are truly appreciated and will ALWAYS Be APPRECIATED.

Office staff are friendly and courteous. They seem to be happy with their jobs and their work environment because that is what you feel when you speak with them. The dentists and hygienists are extremely professional and thorough. You know your getting a good work-up when they are working through issues with you as a patient. Highly recommend!

The dentist was very professional and thorough and her assistants were very nice and friendly. They made me feel very welcome. There are 3 receptionists on the counter as you enter. We've been going there for almost 2 years and have enjoyed all the staff. They make you feel at ease and comfortable whenever you are there. Recommend this dentist to anyone who is wanting to try a new dentist

Have been coming here for over 15+ years. Dr Brian Struby and his office staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. Best dental office in town. And Megan Struby did all the ortho work on my son and his teeth are straight and gorgeous.
