Our four board-certified endodontists Dr. Eisenberg, Dr. Carroll, Dr. Guerra, Dr. Ryu, and Dr. Cordero have extensive expertise in saving teeth and restoring oral health. Their utilization of state-of-the-art technologies and evidence-based procedures ensures the most comfortable root canal experience and lasting results.
We strive to make each patients root canal experience as pleasant and as comfortable as possible, combining advanced treatment with a gentle touch. While we work on teeth, everyone at the office is attentive to the wellbeing of the person who owns the smile.
Dr. Ed Eisenberg graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Psychology in 1968. He then received his D.D.S. degree from Temple University of Dentistry in 1973. From 1973 to 1974, he was in a rotating dental internship at Philadelphia General Hospital and he then completed a three-year fellowship in endodontics in 1978. In 1982, he became board certified in the specialty of endodontics by the American Board of Endodontics.
Currently, Dr. Eisenberg is section chief in endodontics for the rotating internship program at Virtua Health Systems and has taught for more than 30 years. He has also been nominated for teacher of the year five times. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics. American Dental Association, the Grossman Study Club, New Jersey Dental Association, South Jersey Dental Study Club, and the Southern Dental Society where he was a past president.
In addition, he was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. Dr. Eisenberg has also been voted Best Dentist of South Jersey by South Jersey Magazine and Top Docs of South Jersey in the New Jersey Monthly numerous times.
Besides endodontics, he loves to play golf and travel with his wife. He has two married sons and four grandchildren. He also loves collecting Lionel model trains and operating a large train layout, which has been built in his home.
Dr. Jeffrey Carroll was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He received his D.D.S. degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1979. He then completed a two-year specialty training in endodontics in 1981, also from Temple University. While at Temple, he was inducted into the American Dental Fraternity. He then continued his dedication to the field by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
After graduating, he taught as a clinical professor at the graduate endodontics program in Temple University for ten years, which he really enjoyed. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Grossman Study Club, Southern Dental Society, the South Jersey Dental Study Club, New Jersey Dental Association, and American Dental Association. Due to his outstanding clinical skills, Dr. Carroll has been voted Best Dentist of South Jersey by South Jersey Magazine and Top Docs of South Jersey and Philadelphia.
Dr. Jose A. Guerra grew-up in southern Texas. He then attended and graduated with a D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry in 1977. Before becoming an endodontist, Dr. Guerra served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a dentist. He was committed to improving the dental health of our marines and sailors. After working as a general dentist, he attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994 where he pursued two years of endodontic training.
After graduating, he joined South Jersey Endodontics where he practices full-time. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Spear Study Club, ITI Study Club, Southern Dental Society, the South Jersey Dental Study Club, New Jersey Dental Association, and American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Guerra has been voted Best Dentist of South Jersey by South Jersey Magazine and Top Docs of South Jersey and Philadelphia the last three years for his outstanding clinical abilities.
Dr. Guerra is bilingual in Spanish and English. Besides endodontics, he has a special interest in history and genealogy and enjoys going to the gym. He also loves spending time with his wife, son, and stepdaughter.

I came to SJ Endodontics because I was having some sensation pain in my tooth. I was unsure whether it was related to my previous root canal or due to an infection. Dr. Carroll took the time to truly evaluate and identify exactly which tooth was actually causing the painful sensation and educated me about teeth sensitivity, nerve reaction time, and the options I had if this worsened. I was given noninvasive recommendations and he did not jump to performing any unnecessary procedures. There was barely any wait time, which I loved. My overall experience was exceptional from beginning to end and I honestly wish I could come to this facility for my routine cleanings. My dental hygienist was also very kind and considerate. Thank you so much for your time and compassion Dr. Carroll. I hope I don't need to see you in the future, but I won't hesitate to come in now if I do!

I was very nervous going in but very friendly staff and there was very minimal pain. Mostly just discomfort. I have had cavity fillings hurt worse than this root canal. Highly recommend.

Thank you South Jersey Endodontics! Dr. Eisenberg, Gia at reception, and to Melissa and Ashley. 2 x root canals done and dusted, and I was able to chew with ease the same day! No more sleepless nights! Great price, even though I didn't have insurance. Hopefully I don't, but should I need work done again, there's no where else I'd go.

Dr.Eisenberg is my hero. My dentist sent me there as he thought I may have had 2 infected back teeth whete the paon was...which was previously root canal...I was so scared I was going to lose those teeth and would have to have implants...the price would have been astronomical...He found the infected tooth which was the small tooth next to my front teeth...it was loose and infected...Dr Rosenberg did a root canal and all the pain went away...he saved that tooth and my back teeth are fine...He was wonderful...Kudos to him!!

Dr. Curry was very professional, and kind. He performed a root canal on my child. However, I was not pleased with the female doctor at that office. She saw my child first and told my husband that he didn't need one, and to tell the dentist to just be careful when drilling in that tooth. My son was in pain and needed a root canal, he ended up having an infection between the time she saw him and Dr. curry saw him. I'm not bashing her, I just don't know if she is comfortable with working on children, which is ok if that is the case. He had the work done by Dr. Curry and has not had a problem since with that tooth.
