Dr. Noah Shafer attended the University of Alaska and the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate studies and received a degree in Biology. He went on to dental school at New York University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Shafer has been married for over 12 years to his beautiful wife, Katie. They have four boys, ranging in age from a newborn to a 10 year old. He has lived in many different places including; Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Kansas, Alaska, Texas, New York, New Mexico, and Germany. Dr. Shafer and family recently moved back to Tennessee after almost 10 years away so they could be around family and get back to their southern roots.

Amazing service and super welcoming staff. I have anxiety about dentist as a lot do but they were very empathic and have have amazing chair side manner. 10/10 would recommend

I literally cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shafer, his staff, and even the office. Most places I have been to are very rough with the cleanings and flossing, but that has never been the case for me in the years I've been seeing Dr. Shafer. And the fact they stay open later on Tuesdays to get people in after work is incredible. I'm never guilted about not flossing every day and every single question I ask is answered in a way I can understand without being condescending. I will forever recommend South Grove!

I don't really like dentist office, but this one has changed my mind. I had Kayla work on my teeth today and she did an amazing job! Everyone was so kind also. I will definitely be back.

I always feel comfortable with , Dr. Shafer, Kayla and the rest of the staff. Everyone is very personable and easy to talk to. My husband and I always appreciate their time and patience with us.

I haven't had a great experience like I had today In a long time. I haven't been to a dentist an years. I made my appointment. Walked in and everybody was so welcoming and very friendly. They listened to all my concerns and let me explain what all I was concerned about before working on my teeth. Mr. Shafer was very professional and so nice. He did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable about my teeth. His staff and him were very nice people. I would recommend seeing him if you are running across this review. I had been told that the Dr and his staff were very impressive and they were correct. It was my first visit and they saw me within 24 hours for an older bridge that fell off. He was able to secure it back on and adjust my bite. I immediately made a follow up appointment for other overdue work. No lecture about my lack of dental visits and such a pleasant overall experience

I have been to south grove twice now and both trips have been great. The cleanings were much easier on my mouth than my last dentist and the wait time was short. They have been very nice including Dr. Shader the dentist
