This endodontist and native of Boston, Mass., Dr. Shah Rassoulian attended the University of Massachusetts Boston and majored in Biology. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1989. Dr Rassoulian then completed a General Practice Residency at St. Marys Hospital, an affiliated hospital of Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut. Dr Rassoulian practiced general dentistry at Harvard University Health Services in Cambridge, Mass., and worked as a clinical instructor at Tufts University Dental School. In 1998 he attended the post doctoral endodontic program at Nova Southeastern University. In 2000 Dr. Rassoulian entered private practice and has enjoyed helping patients achieve their dental health goals.
An experienced periodontist, Dr. Robert H. Kaufman grew up in South Florida yet left the Sunshine State to attend Emory University for his undergraduate studies where he received an academic scholarship and was invited to join the prestigious honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Trading in the Eagles for the Gators, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology, graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted in the University of Florida chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Kaufman then entered the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he graduated first in his class and was awarded entry into the national Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Following dental school, Dr. Kaufman relocated to Miami and completed a two-year hospital-based General Practice Residency and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then returned to the University of Florida College of Dentistry and Shands Teaching Hospital, where he completed his Periodontal Surgical Residency.
Since he and his family returned to South Florida after residency, Dr. Kaufman has treated patients while in private practice. A former president of the South Dade Dental Society and guest lecturer at the celebrated Pankey Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education, Dr. Kaufman concentrates his efforts and continuing education in periodontal surgery and the surgical placement of dental implants. Throughout his professional career, he has placed thousands of dental implants and in collaboration with various highly skilled restorative dentists, has helped many patients overcome their dental disabilities. Dr. Kaufman studied with the well-respected Dr. Paulo Malo, who invented the All-On-4 and Teeth in A Day implant technique. His advanced certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Intravenous Conscious Sedation allow him to safely deliver surgical excellence to his patients while asleep in a safe, effective, and professional manner.
Dr. Kaufman lectures throughout the United States and dedicates his professional endeavors to support his patients goals of improved overall and dental health. He measures his success by patient appreciation and satisfaction, and consistently delivers compassionate dental care.

Great work quality in a friendly and punctual office environment. I've been a client for several years and am very happy with the quality of work performed (cosmetic and otherwise). Also, getting in and out of the office quickly is a bonus - the office runs very efficiently and I never get stuck in the waiting room.

I absolutely love the staff at South Gables Dental. They are all very professional and warm. I came in today because my teeth were very stained and yellowish. Juani at the front desk called me immediately to notify me of a cancellation. She's always on POINT and knows the patients needs. I can't say enough about Deya my dental hygienist. She took her time preparing the mouth area and applying the Zoom solution. She explained every step of the process and monitored the my progress. I was scared that my teeth would be too white if the solution was left on too long. She encouraged me to give the treatment the amount of time required. I am so happy I listened to her. The results were amazing!

I've been a patient at South Gables Dental since I was ten years old. They are absolute professionals and treat me like family. I couldn't imagine having another dentist then Dr. Lesperance and his amazing staff and team. My dental hygienist, Deya, is so kind and sweet. She's the absolute best! She always makes sure I am treated well and am comfortable since I have sensitive gums. South Gables Dental is an amazing dentistry!

I have suffered with TMJ pain for over 30 years, even though I wear a night guard. My previous dentist of 45 years injected Botox, but that only provided temporary relief for a few months. Two visits to Dr. Lesperance did the trick and I am pain free! He took a considerable amount of time and patience to ensure that my bite was just perfect.. I don't even mind traveling from Boca Raton to Coral Gables. Dr. Lesperance and his staff are wonderful!

A few weeks ago I visited Dr Lesperance for the first time to fix a broken tooth. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who quickly guided me into his office. Dr Lesperance was professional and meticulous in his work. He painlessly fixed my tooth, explaining everything he was doing along the way. He then adjusted my bite until it was perfect. To top it off, I had a lovely view of a beautiful tropical garden to look at while he worked. Dr Lesperance finished by measuring me for a night guard (to prevent future breaks) using a state of the art scanner, no trays to bite into. Wonderful experience. Thank you Dr Lesperance.

I've been going to Dr. Lesperance and his team for a few years now and its been a pleasure each and every visit. Everyone working there is kind, attentive and knowledgeable which makes what is usually a pain of an experience quite easy. I especially love that there is an effort from the team to get to know the clients personally. They even have a cute slideshow in the waiting area with biographies of the employees there. Its a very enjoyable, very friendly experience which is nice when contrasted with the typical "sterile" environment of a dentist's office. Highest recommendations, especially if the dentist makes you nervous.

South Gables Dental is a great place for all oral health needs! I stumbled across them while looking for a doctor for more information on Invisalign due to my bite shifting. I've never had braces, so I was trying to get the best information. After visiting recommended doctors from family and friends, none of which I had a good first impression or a connection with, I went to Google for my search. And it was a great decision! I found Dr. Lesperance and his clinic, and best decision. The whole practice are professional and genuine characters. Highly recommend.

The idea of going to a dentist is never a pleasant thought. During the pat 60+ years, I have been to numerous dentist worldwide. Many of them were excellent and some of them less. My last visit was to Dr. Lesperance and I am happy to say, that he an his entire staff, especially Mary and Juani are, for me, by far the best. I have to go again in a couple of week and I am looking forward to it. Thank you Dr. Lesperance, Mary and Juani, you are very special.

What a great dentist! Dr. Lesperance is professional, yet incredibly personable. I have never had an issue that he was not able to solve. The staff are knowledgeable, great at what they do, and incredibly friendly. Coming here makes going to the dentist a rather pleasant experience.

Five stars are not enough for Dr. Lesperance. If it were an option, I would give him a million stars. That is how much better he is than other dentists I have seen. No exaggeration. He is an exceptionally competent and talented dentist, as well as kind, compassionate, and honest. He is not going to upsell you treatments you don't need and is going to give you the very best result possible. I could not recommend him more highly. See the before and after photos below. I have congenital teeth problems and have seen a number of dentists over the years. Recently the dental work on my front six teeth started to break down, including broken crowns, veneers, and a loose implant. Other dentists, including a very famous dentist in DC, were reluctant to take me on as a client and quoted me exorbitant prices. Dr. Lesperance was able to fix all my issues in his office at a very reasonable price. I couldn't believe it. Dr. Lesperance is the real deal--God's gift to dentistry.
