Dr. Daya began his dental career in his home country of Venezuela. After finishing dental school at Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho in Barcelona, Venezuela, followed by a one-year Oral Surgery externship in Caracas, he made the decision to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, moving to Florida in 2010 to pursue that goal.
He received his DMD in 2014 after completing the International Dental Program at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He remained at Nova Southeastern for his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery until 2018, providing surgical expertise for an extensive variety of conditions including facial trauma, cleft palate, and cancer reconstruction at two of the largest hospitals in South Florida.
After relocating to St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Daya took part in a prestigious temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and orthognathic surgery fellowship with Movahed OMS and Mercy Hospital. This fellowship also gave him the opportunity to support the Children for the Pediatric World Project, for whom he performed pro bono procedures to repair trauma and restore the oral health for underprivileged kids from across the Western Hemisphere.
Dr Mikhail Daya is a Board Certified Oral Surgeon. Dr. Daya completed 4 years of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University and a one year fellowship at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Dr Dayas expertise range from IV. Sedation, Dental Implants, Removal of wisdomteeth, Corrective Jaw surgery and TMJ among others
He has authored and coauthored multiple publications in peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters within the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Sleep Apnea.He is tri-lingual, being fluent in Spanish, English and Arabic. He is also an avid triathlete.
Oral surgery has a significant level of impact on a patients life. Its great to see their transformation, especially if theyve lived with chronic pain, or a condition that is detrimental to their confidence or happiness. Its very satisfying once youre able to fix that for a patient

Arrived on a Tuesday with a consult had surgery the next day he fit me in on Wednesday did a wonderful job my pain level was very low. The staff front desk girl Christina and Catherine were fabulous and in the back assistants, Yannick and Jodi were also wonderful

Truly amazing experience. I would recommend Dr. Daya to everyone. He's compassionate, patient, and has an amazing skill. I haven't felt any pain which is incredible as I had severe pain with my other extractions done by other dentists/oral surgeons. Yanick & Jody were calming understanding of my apprehension. Jodi and Yanick were the absolute BEST!!! My experience was amazing. Little to no pain. They gave me the best instructions and took very good care of me! They definitely deserved recognition. Dr. Daya was amazing as well. I'd recommend them time and time again!

Dr. Daya is neglectful and his staff is incompetent. My son was his patient and had swelling on the side of his cheek. Dr. Daya ordered a CT scan. We never heard from him or his staff again despite following up with his office repeatedly. His staff did not even know how to request the imaging results from the hospital. After wasting 2 weeks, we saw a different provider who immediately put us on the right course of treatment. I think Dr. Daya had no idea had to treat my son and rather than just refer us to another doctor, just abandoned my son as a patient. Meanwhile my son's conditioned worsened while we wasted time chasing Dr. Daya and his office for help. Completely unprofessional - stay away!

Being someone who is terrified of dentist I have never felt so comfortable in a place! They took great care of me, made sure I felt comfortable and walked me through everything. Jody especially she is a wonderful women and is brilliant at her job! I am so thankful for this place! I 100% recommend!

If came to Dr Daya's office about a month ago. He and his staff are very thorough. It is more than obvious they care about their patients. I didn't have my insurance information and Katherine called my Dentist to obtain it. Yanick and Jody calmed my fears as I was concerned about radiation of the CT scan machine. They have the state art equipment and the CT scan machine does not have as high of radiation as machines as other doctor offices. Dr Daya, took a lot of time with me, explaining treatment options, recommendations and was patient with me as I had a ton of questions. He answered all my questions. He uses a holistic approach and does not concentrate just on the jaw. If you have TMJ issues he will either treat you or get you to the creme de la creme of the specialists.

My 9 yr old daughter needed to have a tooth extracted and was so nervous. The nurses Yanick and Jody were awesome and made her feel so comfortable. Dr. Daya did a great job getting the tooth out and explaining everything to me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The best dentist experience i've ever had. The entire staff (Jody, Yanick, Stacy, Katherine, and Cristina) are all so nice, understanding and welcoming. I went to get my wisdom teeth removed and they are very comforting, by telling me their own experiences. All in all would recommend to any and everyone!

Dr. Daya and his team were AMAZING!! If you are a nervous patient like me when it comes to dealing with your teeth, then you need to go see Dr. Daya! I felt at ease and was comforted every step of the way! I would highly 100% recommend Dr. Daya and his awesome staff of caring nurses. Dr. Daya and his team are trained and knowledgeable at a much higher level of expertise when it comes to all oral surgery and it shows. Don't research anywhere else, trust me! We had a very pleasant experience; I had to take my 7 year old son for a tooth removal. Everyone was sooooo welcoming, kind, caring; Dr Daya was patient, kind, caring with my son and we had a very pleasant experience. It was easy to make an appointment as well.

I was referred to Dr. Daya by my dentist for wisdom tooth extraction that I had put off for far too long. The office staff are friendly and welcoming and I was taken back for my appointment within minutes of arriving! They have state of the art equipment and took an3D X-ray of my teeth. It was clear in the X-ray more so than traditional ones that my wisdom teeth were growing at an angle and a problem waiting to happen. Dr. Daya was very personable and took the time to explain to me why this procedure was necessary while reviewing my X-rays with me. He was focused on preserving my oral health rather than trying to upsell cosmetic procedures as is so common around this area. My main concern was pricing since I wasn't sure what my insurance would cover. After the appointment they have someone come to the room to go over pricing and what your portion will be. This was such a relief to have someone who clearly understood what my insurance policy covers and exactly what portion I'll be responsible for. The best part was it was significantly less than I was expecting it to be! The surgery itself went perfectly without any complications. I had no swelling, no bruising and very little pain. I'd recommend this office and Dr. Daya to anyone!
