The South Florida District Dental Association is one of the six components of the Florida Dental Association (FDA) and part of the tripartite structure of organized dentistry. A proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA)
The Association was incorporated in the State of Florida in October of 1922 and operates as a non-profit association under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Centrally located in Coral Gables Florida, The SFDDA is host to three affiliate Societies located throughout the district. Miami Dade Dental Society, North Dade / Miami Beach Dental Society and South Broward Dental Society.
The SFDDA provides assistance for patient referrals, promotes public dental health through educational materials, and assists members with professional or patient related issues. As part of our continued effort to promote the best dentistry among our members and non-members we also provide continued educational courses monthly through our affiliate societies.
South Florida District Dental Association was founded in October 1922, by 25 charter member dentists. The district's geography includes all counties bordering Florida's east coast. In the 1960's the Association was restructured into two separate geographic districts thatnow encompass Dade, Monroe and South Broward. Thanks to our growing loyal members, We continue to grow as a united front of dental education and governance.
