At South Des Moines Dental, our main focus is on providing our patients with the best quality of dental care available. We look forward to serving the Des Moines area as well as nearby communities. We have been a part of the neighborhood for generations, caring for many of the same families through the years.

Many of our team members have been with the practice for years, and we invite you to read our biographies below so you can get to know us a bit before you come in for your first visit. Dr. Kyle Connolly and the rest of the South Des Moines Dental staff look forward to getting to know you and your family. We want to set you on the path for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Dr. Kyle Connolly is originally from Epworth, Iowa (Gods Country). He graduated from Western Dubuque and then Loras College in 1998. After graduation, he worked in research at the University of Iowa before attending dental school and graduating in 2005.

Dr. Connolly first came to South Des Moines Dental in 2005 until 2009 when he left with his wife for Colorado. He returned in 2013 and ultimately purchased the practice from Dr Randal Sinnard in 2016.

Dr. Connolly is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and Des Moines Dental District, including serving a president in 2018. He has volunteered for several events including Mission of Mercy, Stand Down, and Smile Squad.

A Roosevelt graduate and Des Moines native, Dr. John Reed joined South Des Moines Dental as an associate in 1985and never left. He is a graduate of St. Olaf College and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. In addition, he completed a hospital dentistry residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Always a constant at South Des Moines Dental, Maggie is an original Southsider. She has been with the practice since 1990 when she graduated from DMACC. Although she now calls Indianola home where she lives with her husband Travis, we still accept her. Maggie also has two daughters Madison and Kendall, who are the light of her life. Maggie is very passionate about eating healthy and working out and inspires many on the staff to do the same.

Spring Hill native Jadie has been with South Des Moines Dental for three years. She studied at Iowa State University and graduated from Des Moines Area Community College. Jadie loves being able to make patients feel better about their smile. She says there is no better feeling than when she is finished with a dental cleaning and the patient says, Wow, my teeth feel so much better!'

Mandy, who hails from Knoxville, graduated from Des Moines Area Community College. She has been with South Des Moines Dental since 2008, first as a dental assistant and then as the practices receptionist for the past two and a half years. Her favorite part of working here is making sure patients dont just feel like a number; Mandy wants to ensure they know the entire team cares about them and their needs.
