Dr. Ahmad received her Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Biology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn, New York where she was able to obtain advanced training in multiple disciplines including cosmetic dentistry, implant restorations, full mouth crowns and extractions.
Before relocating back to St. Louis, Dr. Ahmad practiced in Connecticut and Florida in both a private practice setting and on the reservation of a Native American Tribe. These different practice modalities, in conjunction with her experience at the Veterans Hospital, offered Dr. Ahmad the opportunity to meet a diverse group of patients and treat a range of dental conditions. Her experiences allow her to communicate effectively with patients and ensure that they are confident in the treatment they are receiving. Dr. Ahmad's practice philosophy is to prioritize the health, comfort and dental goals of her patients above all else and believes that dentistry is a wonderful combination of science and art that allows patients to achieve exactly what they are looking for.
Dr. Ahmad is a part of the American Dental Association and Missouri Dental Association. In addition, she strives to stay up-to-date in latest advancements by taking extensive continuing education courses yearly in a variety of subjects. In her spare time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with her family, traveling abroad, playing board games and pickleball.

I love Dr Ahmad, shes super friendly, personable, and very upfront about procedures, the prices are also very reasonable. It takes a lot for me to get numbed up, so she always brings me in early to make sure I can get completely numb and comfortable. It's also very nice that my whole family of 5 including 3 young children can all come to the same dentist.

Dr Ahmad is very knowledgeable and explains any dental issues you may have. I appreciated that she gave me a year advance warning to prepare for a crown replacement as well! Dental hygienists are friendly and cleanings are pain free!

I absolutely loved their tech that did my teeth cleaning. She is wonderful. My review is based on how they handle their business and billing. I did not receive a bill from them until June 2022 (my appointment was March 2022). I understand that sometimes insurances take time on what they will pay and what the patient pays. However, I paid the bill right away sending in my credit card info like they asked. It went through no problems. Then all of a sudden I have a letter from collections about not paying them. I never once received a phone call or final notice from their office. To me, that's a poorly run billing choice and practice of business to not send a final notice or call to let the patient know. I could have told them I sent the letter back with my billing info, and never had to deal with collections. I hope this review is received and they change their process on how they handle billing because I did really appreciate the care and treatment provided by the tech and doctor.

Long time patient. I hate going to the dentist as I have a lot of issues with my teeth. However, this practice makes it a lot less intimidating. They are reassuring, calming, extremely professional and do amazing dental work. UPDATE: went in a few weeks ago for a deep cleaning. Amazing service and my dental hygienist is the absolute best.

The dentist, hygienists, assistants, and front desk are all so kind and accommodating. They are also very respectful of my anxiety of dentists and try to make it as pleasant of an experience as possible! I love this office and I'm so grateful for Dr. Ahmad!

Was needing a new and more friendly staff. I couldn't be happier with my choice of South County Smiles. The staff is amazing in every way. They are all professional, personable and efficient. The office is clean and prepared and I've never had any issues with staff, pay or procedures and am 100% happy with the work I had done. 10/10 would recommend.

First visit to South County Smiles, moved to South County and needed a new dentist. Great experience, everyone was very friendly and was made to feel welcome not like a new patient. Would definitely recommend if you need a new dentist and hygienist
