Christopher S. Moore, DDS (87) has been in private dental practice in Texas for over 27 years. As an Aggie, he has been thrilled at the opportunity to move to College Station when his wife, Melinda Sheffield-Moore, Ph.D. (87) accepted a position as Professor and Department Head at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Moore was born in Beaumont and grew up in the Clear Lake area of Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M University with his B.S. in Biomedical Science, Class of 1987. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1992 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston. Graduating seventh in his class with several awards, Dr. Moore was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.
Through years of practice, Dr. Moore has gained the experience and knowledge to treat almost any issue you may have. Whether you need a routine cleaning or a large, multi-step procedure, Dr. Moore will provide the information you need, outline the steps that should be taken, and work with you to help you make informed decisions about your care.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Moore will often be found training for the MS150 or riding his bike in Lick Creek Park. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and teenagers hiking, kayaking, and skiing, as well as cooking and brewing amazing beer. He also loves spending time with the large flock of dogs that live in his home.
Kimberly was born and raised in the Bryan/College Station area. She attended Bryan High School and graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 1996. For a time she practiced in Arizona, but is happy to be back in Texas, calling this her home. She loves spending time with her husband and two boys, going fishing, hunting, and attending various sporting events.
Julie considers herself to be fortunate to have grown up in Germany and Japan before settling for a period of time in California. She began her dental career in California in the 1980s and moved to Texas in 1994, marking the beginning of her journey into the field of orthodontics. Forwarding to 2019 finds her resettling in General Dentistry with our practice. Julie is a season ticket holder for the Lady Aggie Basketball team, loves working in her yard, and enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Lilly.
April began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant in 1998 and is excited to have joined South College Station Dental. She enjoys helping to create beautiful smiles and getting to know her patients on a personal level. April is married and has two wonderful kids. They enjoy floating the river, hanging out at the lake, and anything they can find to do in the sun. April also has two little dogs that have personalities of their own!

I love the people at South College Station Dental. I receive good care there and the people are friendly. The only drawback, if there is one, is that I have to wait a good bit past my appointment at times.

I had a great experience with this dentist. 10x better than my previous dentists. I have never had anyone explain what is going on with my teeth the way that Dr. Moore did, which helped me understand my situation in terms that I can relate to. Even something as simple as looking at the x-ray images and how it is not like I'm looking at my teeth in a mirror, but if I was looking at my teeth from someone else's point of view. Also, none of the staff tried to push a specific type of dental product for me to use, which is nice for a change. Thank you for a great first impression experience.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Office was clean and well organized. Called on Tuesday morning with a dental issue before a trip on Friday. They got me in on Wednesdsy and quickly identified my dental issue. Very nice folks, support staff and Christopher Moore, DDS. VERY PLEASED, they will be my choice for long term regular dental care.

6/3/22 Update: My son cracked a tooth at the pool yesterday. Dr. Moore's office got us in and calmed down an extremely anxious 13 year old boy (and his mother). He was so patient and so kind in his wording while he explained everything he was going to do. I teared up during the procedure and mouthed "thank you" to Dr. Moore because I was overwhelmed with gratitude for calming my son down and taking care of him. If you are looking for a new dentist who won't make you afraid to go see him-look no further! Wow! I have been to so many dentists, but Dr. Moore and his staff take the cake! The office is so welcoming and has a wonderful "home" feel to it. It doesn't smell like a dentist office either. I don't know how they do that, but it just smelled fresh and clean. I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, but Dr. Moore took the time to explain things to my kids and me. I have 5 kids and all of them have had bad experiences with other facilities in town. All of them have said, "Thank you, Mom" a few times for finding this dentist office. All I ask is please don't stop taking our insurance because I would be so sad to go anywhere else. The text message below is between my daughters who are 16 and 17 and me. My boys are 21, 13 and 9. They all loved it here as well. Go check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Dr.Moore made sure I knew everything, in detail, that I needed to know. April, Kimberley and Julie were just as helpful with any questions I had. Julie even took the time to help me look at my employers' dental plan options to find the one that was best for my needs. I'm anxious when it comes to dental work but they made me feel at ease. Highly recommend this team!

Dr. Moore took extra time to go over with me options to treat my TMJ which I have struggled with for years. Julie was excellent when scheduling the appointments and getting the information for treatment approval from our insurance. Kimberly and April made me comfortable and the cleaning was never uncomfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and very experienced. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dental experience.
