Dr. Benjamin Keith Huff was born & raised in Coos Bay. He & his wife enjoy all the area has to offer with their four children. Dr. Huff received his dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He has taken many continuing education courses to provide up-to-date treatment to all those he serves. Dr. Huff believes in making dentistry easily accessible for patients while providing the highest standards of care & kindness. He is extremely pleased to be serving the people & community of his hometown. Dr. Huff follows the golden rule of treating you&your family the way he&his family want to be treated.
Dr. Melnik grew up in the Pacific Northwest & has a deep appreciation of the area. She enjoys exploring the outdoors by kayaking, mountain biking & hiking. Her love of community keeps her active & looking for new opportunities to be involved. Dr. Melnik chose to pursue dentistry because she believes that oral health plays a crucial role in the wellbeing of an individual, family & community. She earned her dental degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Utah. She finds dentistry extremely rewarding & likes to help patients feel at ease with clear & transparent communication.
Dr. Cannon studied biology, chemistry & Portuguese at Utah State University before earning his dental degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dedicated to continuing his education, Dr. Cannon completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Idaho State, where he got advanced training in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, IV sedation & implant dentistry. He is excited to be living in the Coos Bay area & exploring the region while hiking with his dog, Paisley. He is proud to provide kind & gentle care to his patients & happy to provide comfortable dental care with the team at South Coast Family Dental.
Dr. AJ Donick grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania and moved to Coos Bay after living in eastern Oregon. He earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University and completed his dental degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After dental school, he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Idaho State University, where he expanded his skills in the practice of dentistry. Dr. Donick moved to the bay with his wife Hilary, a veterinarian, and their bird dog, Clancy. They are looking forward to enjoying all the coast has to offer, including the great people. Dr. Donick feels privileged to care for his patients at South Coast Family Dental.
Dr. Andrew Ringle was born & raised in beautiful Logan, Utah. He attended Utah State University & graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Determined to increase his education & ability to provide exceptional patient care, he took a residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Idaho State University in Pocatello. During his residency, he received advanced training in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, IV sedation & implant dentistry. Dr. Ringle, his wife, Sydnie, & their three daughters, Kennedy, Chandler & Monroe, love living in Coos Bay & exploring all that the area has to offer. Dr. Ringle is thrilled to be part of the team at South Coast Family Dentistry & looks forward to treating each patient with a smile.
Courtney was born and raised in Coos Bay. She then moved to Eugene to earn her Bachelors in Social Science and Spanish at the University of Oregon. Soon after she began Dental Hygiene school at Lane Community College, where she graduated as the vice-president of her class in 2018. Courtney and her husband spend most of their time fixing up their 1927 craftsman style home, enamored by their sweet baby boy, Harrison and ruff housing with their Goldendoodle, Whiteaker. Courtneys passion for dental hygiene lies in the ability to serve people from all walks of life regardless of what they do or where they are from.
Olivia was born & raised in Myrtle Point. She & most of her extended family call Coos County home. After high school she moved to New Mexico & attended New Mexico State University on a full ride collegiate rodeo scholarship where she completed her bachelors degree in chemistry. After college, she returned to Oregon & attended dental hygiene school at Oregon Institute of Technology in La Grande. She chose hygiene because she wanted to be a part of the healthcare community improving peoples lives & overall health. Olivia enjoys getting to meet new people every day, making connections with her patients & helping them achieve better oral health. She prides herself on helping patients who have had negative experiences overcome their dental anxiety through professional & caring treatment. Olivia feels honored to be a part of an office that gives everyone a chance to be taken care of & makes their experience & oral health a priority. Outside of the office, Olivias fun has to do with horses & competing in barrel racing. She travels to compete every chance she gets & loves experiencing new places. While she mostly competes in the North West she has been as far as Texas for competitions.
Eliza is one of seven siblings, which has made family her highest priority. She & her large extended family call the Pacific Northwest home & enjoy all it has to offer. Eliza graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff as a dental hygienist. She moved to Alaska after graduation & then to Oregon where she became one of the skilled & knowledgeable dental hygienists at South Coast Family Dentistry. Eliza takes great pride in patient care & education. She has spent her 20 years as a hygienist continuing to improve the patient experience as well as patient oral health. Outside of work, Eliza enjoys spending time with her husband & Chili, her beloved dog. The family enjoys taking walks together appreciating all the beauty Oregon offers.
Tiffany Mahikoa grew up living in different parts of the Western U.S. but she has called the Pacific Northwest home for nearly 20 years. She graduated from Pacific University in 2014 with her bachelors degree in dental hygiene, moved to the Southern Oregon Coast & never looked back. She brought with her a passion for community health improvement, compassionate patient-centered care & building collaborative relationships.
Tiffany shares her life with her husband, Nick, & their pets, two rambunctious dogs & a cranky old cat. Tiffany has too many hobbies and interests to name, but her favorite thing to do is learn new things! She loves working with people from all backgrounds & seeks to help patients who feel anxious at the dental office.
