South Coast Dental Center is a local and trusted dental clinic practice in South CoastMetro, California, offering general and cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, implant dentist services, teeth whitening, and other general and specialized services.
Our dentist staff provide superior services, ranging from teeth cleaning and teeth whitening to all types of oral surgery: wisdom teeth extraction, teeth implants, receding gum repair, broken/missing tooth repair, filling repair/removal, and more.
Our goal is to be able to serve Spanish-speaking patients and offer quality service from beginning to end. We hope to educate clients during each visit and transform their dental hygiene practices for the better.
Dr. Edward Hakim is a general dentist with extensive experience in family dentistry, as well as surgical and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hakim completed his dental residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in 1977, where he gained much of his surgical experience under the direction of preeminent oral surgeon Dr. Philip Boyne. He helped introduce laser dentistry using Biolase Laser Technology in 2005 on Channel 7 eyewitness news. Dr. Hakim practiced Dentistry in patients age from 2 to 99.
Dr. Hakim practices all aspects of family dentistry and specializes in implants with the latest materials in the industry. In his personal time, he loves to read books about history, run, exercise, swimming and refines his golf technique.
April has been Dr. Hakims dental assistant for more than 15 years. She is always putting smiles on patients faces and making sure that they get the best care during every visit with excellent customer service.
Sandra Silva is one of the most dedicated hygienists in Santa Ana, California. She graduated in 2001 from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors degree in dental hygiene. Sandra has 10 years of experience as a dental assistant.

I was so impressed by the staff at this dental practice! The dental hygienist, Sandra, was so helpful and knowledgeable about dentistry and gave me excellent tips on how to better care for my teeth. The dental assistants, April and Maria, took great care of me with x-rays and assisting the dentist Dr. Rice. I have gone to Dr. Rice for years. He's such a friendly and gentle dentist, and an excellent dentist, too! I highly recommend this dental practice!

Let's just say I was the most nervous and scared patient someone could ever have but Sandra, Rice, Hakim and all the staff really helped with my dentist anxiety in a zero pain way. Everyone here is so knowledgeable and kind and it's been a long journey but we're all working together to restore my oral health. I recommend this place to everyone because it's been the best treatment (professional and kind)

I love South Coast Dental, I've been coming for a few years now and have gotten to know everyone at the office. They are so friendly and welcoming, you can tell they really care. I just had my crown put in with them - they have such attention to detail and made sure it was perfect. I moved to Michigan recently and I will miss them!

I definitely recommend South Coast Dental Center. The staff are amazing!! Their services are great. Amazing customer service. They make you feel like family. This office has been amazing to our whole family. They're so knowledgeable, kind & professional. We were so lucky to have Dr. Hakim diagnose my wife w/ a rare nerve disease called Trigeminal Neuralgia. He told us to go to a neurologist & because of Dr. Hakim her quality of life is better. Sandra, April & the rest of the dental professionals are so helpful w/ our insurance too. It's not easy these days dealing w/ insurance companies but they follow through. They've been taking care of us for so many years. We're blessed to have them take care of us:
