I went to South City dental today. I am beyond pleased. 22 years of addiction and neglect on my behalf of my own hygiene. First visit got impressions and a game plan to get ready. Awesome friendly service. I can't wait for my new smile

The dental work is mediocre. I asked before any work was done if it was covered by my insurance and they said yes. Now I've received a bill for $900 and all they have to say was my insurance didn't go through.

I have reason to believe my enamel was damaged here, a claim I do not make lightly; Prior to vigorous and forceful plaque scraping by an assistant, I had no sensitivity issues. Afterward, I noticed that many of my teeth became sensitive both to temperature and sweets.

Dr Sam and staff were very friendly and gentle in the chair. I would highly recommend their services. Dr Sam filled a tooth and when he numbed my jaw it was by far the most painless trip I've ever had to the dentist and I appreciate that.

Dentist recommended two fillings and a crown but was unable to show me where the problem was on the X-ray because "it didn't show". Emailed me a treatment plan of over $1000 but it all felt like a sale strategy so I got a second opinion. The other dentist said all my teeth are perfectly healthy, and no procedure is needed.

The best dental care I have ever experienced! Dr Sam was great and very informative. His professional, courteous, and friendly attitude made me feel like family. I would highly recommend South City Dental to anyone!!!

The previous dentist (Dr. Metcalf) left I guess in January, I was not informed. So when I came in to have an abscess looked at, I saw "Dr. Sam." He did not introduce himself, never gave his last name. The "exam" consisted of me opening and closing my mouth and him running his fingers along my teeth, no instruments or tools, just his gloved fingers. Creeped me out. Beyond prescribing antibiotics, he did not want to help me with my abscess, told me I need braces, and then suggested pulling my healthy teeth out. If they send you a bill, pay it in person, because I have called and given my card information twice, and they still have not charged this. I doubt he even has a dentistry degree, probably the reason he wouldn't give a last name.

Everything and everyone was great! I felt I was given careful attention by the doctor and the front desk staff. I will definitely recommend them!

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dental office. From my first interaction with the hygienist to how the dentist conducted my exam was totally off. First they didn't have me sit in the dental chair and then his exam consisted of me opening and closing my mouth. He then said they didn't accept my ins which I had already verified both with my providers and their front office. And then that he couldn't do the work.

The dentist that was there about a month ago when I had filings done LEFT and a new dentist came in and they don't accept my insurance! no one from the office even bothered to call to let me know! so whenever I call to make a new appointment they tell me they can't see me anymore basically. very frustrating I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody seeing as how the dentist that was there didn't do his job properly because Sweets still hurt my teeth that HE filled AND none of the staff bothered to call their patients to let them know their dentist was leaving and insurance wouldn't be accepted

I loathe going to the dentist. It gives me great anxiety but I think I finally found one that helps keep it from getting too overwhelming. Everyone was very welcoming and nice. It wasn't anywhere as bad as I had talked myself into. I can't recommend this office enough.

I will forever be a patient here, as will my children. My daughter had her first dentist appointment today, and they were so amazing with her. They showed her the water, the air, suction, everything, and made sure she was comfortable before moving forward. They called it a "happy visit" and said if there's anything she was uncomfortable with, they could skip. Then when it was my turn, the receptionist sat with both my girls in the waiting area and watched doc mcstuffins. They let them come in and out of the room, and even sit on my lap while the dentist was looking at my teeth. 100% best dentist anywhere.

I have horrible dental anxiety. In addition to sensory issues and bad experiences, and soft teeth I usually have to medicate myself to even call the dentist. So when I say that I whole-heartedly enjoyed my visit to this office, take it as gold. I had to have a couple fillings and the staff made me feel 1000% at ease. The doctor was fast but thorough, and worked extra hard to find the most affordable options and payment plans with my insurance to avoid over charging me. Everyone from the front door forward made this the best dental experience I have ever had, and I cannot recommend this office enough.
