Dr. Lanham was born and raised in West Virginia completing his undergraduate studies in Biology at West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1978. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1982 followed by a three-year tour in the United States Navy based in Parris Island, South Carolina.
In private practice since 1985, Dr. Lanham has been committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry by participating in extensive and ongoing post-doctoral education. He has completed numerous courses with The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and The Academy of Laser Dentistry which has influenced a great deal of his practice philosophy. He aspires to provide healthy smiles through individualized dental care while building total wellness with his patients.
Post-graduate education and organizations include: The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Academy of Laser Dentistry, The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and The South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. Lanham lives in Columbia. He has three grown children Chad, Bria, and Kyle. After coaching football and basketball for 20 years, Dr. Lanham now enjoys conducting sports camps in conjunction with mission trips in Central and South American as well as the United States. His hobbies include golfing and fishing.

I was in dire need to get a dental appointment because I lost a filling on Sunday. The center had someone answering the phones at 8 am on Monday. It was easy to schedule an appointment and to complete the paperwork. The procedure went very well and I'm happy that I went there.

Pleasant staff over all. I'm very happy with Dr Droegy listened to all my dental needs. Awesome staff I left with a smile! Tomorrow I'll get a tooth extracted

Sylvia has been my hygienist for many many years! She's the best!! And Dr. Johnson and Dr. Lanham are both amazing too! This office cares about their patients. From the time you walk greeted by a kind and friendly face until the time you leave, they are exceptional. They help you understand your dental care, the fees, and the options. I highly recommend them. You will be very pleased.

From scheduling my appointment to the actual visit the staff was professional and friendly. I got my dates confused and showed up a day late for my appointment but they still saw me. The doctor was very informative and he not only advised me on what my appointment was for but he also helped putme on the right track to some other issues I was having. Looks like I've finally found a good dentist.

I've been coming to this practice for years. All the staff are amazing. This morning I experienced a dental emergency/issue. After a 7am call there I was being seen by Dr. Johnson an hour later. Kind, committed, and dedicated staff. I cannot recommend them enough. A truly great dental practice.

Dr Lanham is the best dentist ever!!!! Very attentive to what u r feeling and If anything he's doing is hurting...the staff is excellent also very kind and professional.... Also a very clean facility ....I highly recommend SC dental center for your dental needs

I had the most wonderful experience at the dentist today. The hygienist Katie was amazing! She was so professional, and efficient, and outstanding at her work. My xrays were done quickly. My cleaning was very thorough and the overall experience was pretty relaxing, surprisingly. No awkward chit chat, just Katie getting down to business while tunes played in the background. I was done way under an hour after a great introduction from Dr. Johnson who was thorough in her assessment and explanation of a care plan for a crown. Super great experience with the administrative staff too. Check in and check out was a breeze, for which everyone was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
