Before becoming an endodontist, Dr. James Baker received a Bacherlors degree in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Next, he earned his DMD with Honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Baker completed two dental residencies for advanced training. First, he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. Then, Dr. Baker completed his specialty training in endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. These additional years of training allowed Dr. Baker to focus exclusively on the diagnosis and management of tooth related pain.
In order to provide the highest quality of endodontic care, our treatment areas are equipped with dental operating microscopes, digital x-rays, and ultrasonics. With advancements in imaging technology has come the advent of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Our CBCT machine will provide a three dimensional scan of relevant structures to aid in diagnosis and management of your unique situation. This helps prevent tooth loss, as well as unnecessary or unpredictable treatments.

Dr. Baker and his staff are the best. They had the best availability for appointments and don't shy away from the work. Had fairly complex root canal on an already broken tooth and he got in there and fixed it and I was never in any pain, even when he warned me "this might hurt", it was never as bad as you think it's going to be. When you go to a GOOD dentist, the idea of "this is gonna hurt" is all in your head. Nice, clean office with the latest tech, which I appreciate as well. Will definitely go to him again if I need an Endo for anything.

Such a great practice! Was referred there randomly for a root canal and the staff and Dr. Baker were so pleasant, thoughtful, skilled, professional, and great to chat with.

I needed an emergency root canal, and the staff was incredible. They made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions without making me feel silly or incompetent. Totally recommend if you are unlucky enough to need a root canal.
