Born in Seattle and raised in Puyallup, Dr. Eric Kitts received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University and his DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Kitts began practicing dentistry in 2000, at his office in Richmond Beach. In 2011, Dr. Kitts built a brand-new, state-of-the-art dental facility located in the heart of downtown Edmonds. He moved his practice there and rechristened it as Soundview Family Dental. Dr. Kitts and his team have been happily practicing there ever since, enjoying the vast, beautiful views of ocean and sky, the coffee, art, travel, and antique shops, the excellent restaurants, the abundant floral planters, and the lovely Edmonds citizens, all of which make Edmonds such a wonderful, unique place to visit, to work, and to live.
Dr. Kitts treats each and every one of his patients with exceptional gentleness, care, integrity, and compassion, and this has made him a Seattle Mets top dentist for many years running. He has built a highly experienced team of dedicated, talented, and caring professionals, who treat each patient like a member of the family. Dr. Kitts provides his patients with the most current and thorough information and knowledge, so that they may achieve their personal smile goals and their best-ever oral health, for a beautiful, radiant smile that lasts a lifetime.
Marianne is a Seattle native and graduated from Shoreline Community College Dental Hygiene School in 1982. She has been with this practice ever since. She has enjoyed caring for patients from multiple generations of families, and she truly loves coming to work every day.
Allison is a Seattle native and attended Washington State University, receiving her Bachelors degree in communications in 2001. She then earned her dental hygiene degree in 2013 from Lake Washington Institute of Technology following a 10-year career as a preschool teacher.
In her spare time, you may find her hanging out with her husband, John, relaxing with her cat, Nala, or playing with her dog, Stella. Allison loves to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest and vacation in Maui with family and friends.
Krista was born and raised in Forks, WA and has been in the dental industry for 20 years. Krista has always enjoyed helping and caring for people. She began her career in dentistry first as a dental assistant for ten years. Her passion for dentistry quickly became apparent; she then achieved her dental hygiene degree in 2010.
She truly enjoys educating patients regarding the benefits of oral healthcare and empowering individuals to have a happy and healthy lifestyle and to feel confident in their smile! She loves the personal relationships she develops with her patients.
Tera is an Edmonds native and the youngest of four children. She brings superior customer service and personalized care to the Soundview team and looks forward to getting to know each person she meets, welcoming them with her bright and contagious smile.
When she isnt surfing Pinterest for her next project, Tera is a sports fanatic. She enjoys watching the Seahawks and the Manu Samoa rugby team, but her favorite team is her son Malachis youth football team.
Our friendly Soundview Family Dental team loves getting out and about in the Edmonds community. We feel privileged to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, serving our friends and neighbors, and we welcome the opportunity to give back in any way we can.
Whether were participating in events to raise awareness for a good cause, accomplishing adventurous, challenging goals we hope will inspire others, or making people smile by hosting contests with fun prizes, we love capturing the memories and sharing them with our dental family.
Soundview Family Dental started hosting a fun Find the Hat contest in March, and since then, lots of locals have won fun hats and gift cards to local businesses by naming the location photographed and posting to our Facebook page. Dr Kitts and staff are so professional and kind. Highly recommend the dental clinic. Had a tooth extracted and a bridge placed in 2021 and a new crown placed in 2022. Alison cleaned my teeth; she is so competent and has great chair-side manners. Highly recommend Soundview Family Dental. November 2022 -- was having some discomfort with a temporary crown. Went in to have Dr Kitts take a look at the temporary crown. Though all looked okay with the temporary crown, since the permanent crown had been delivered, Dr Kitts decided to proceed to prep and cement in the new crown. All went well. I was so relieved to have the new crown on. All discomfort went away. Thanks to Dr Kitts and staff. Great dentist.

I have been seeing Dr Kitts and staff for many years, dated back when he started in Richmond Beach. He is very honest, communicates well, and explains all about what is being recommended. He is very precise with high quality work. The staff are all very friendly, warm personalities, and are very good at what they do. Dr. Kitts, Brett and Kelly, Great job on the extraction procedure. You all are extremely professional, as well as have great personalities that make the time actually enjoyable. Not many dental patients can say that they enjoyed their time at the dental office.

I appreciate the response of Dr Kitts to what might be emergency situations. I had pain, an indicator, in the back of my mouth. I was able to contact Dr Kitts and see him in a timely manner. This is what I regard as excellent dental care.

I waited 15 minutes for the hygienist for my scheduled cleaning. She said, due to time constraints, she would clean my back teeth later & advised that I schedule 2 appointments for a deep cleaning. She said the cost of the deep cleaning was 'unknown' but I would receive an estimate on Monday. It's 2 days later and I haven't heard from them. I'm so disappointed as previously I've had good experiences.

I have been going to Soundview and Dr. Kitts for many years now--I drive up from north Seattle because I cannot imagine going elsewhere! I have had 3 or 4 different hygienists through the years and they have all met my high standards. They and Dr. Kitts are caring and detail-oriented with an emphasis on preventative practices. The clinic is very well-run with responsive friendly staff. I HIGHLY recommend them.
