I truly believe in my patients whole-health and remain committed to meeting the needs of my patients beyond clinical dentistry. In addition to yearly continuing education in excess of 75 hours, In December of 2017, I completed a Masters Degree program at Creighton University in Lifestyle Health and Wellness. My intent is to further educate my patients on chronic disease, behavioral change, health awareness, and leading a lifestyle that contributes to the prevention of disease.

I received my undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan in 1994. I moved back to my Northwest roots and worked in the Seattle area for 6 years. During this time, I was influenced by some great dentists and decided to advance my career further. I relinquished my career as a hygienist and went back to school where I graduated from Creighton University with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2004.

I grew up with my father being a dentist, so I had an opportunity to experience the whole spectrum of working in the dental field. By the time I graduated from dental school, I was more than ready to start a private practice. I opened SoundBridge Dental Arts in Gig Harbor in 2005 and have dedicated my time and energy to make the office particularly unique when one chooses a dentist. Our team strives to create a relaxing atmosphere and provide the best possible dentistry available by utilizing the latest in technology. We pride ourselves on high standards and the entire team attends a wide range of continuing education every year.

I think long-term when considering treatment needs and take the time necessary to provide treatment that falls in line with those goals. With the continuing advancements in dentistry, there are always plenty of options to discuss.

When speaking to my patients, its important to consider your overall health and wellness as I believe the oral cavity is a window to many systemic health concerns. Its also important for me to be aware of lifestyle factors that influence general health and overall physical condition. To further advance my knowledge in this arena, I completed my Masters degree (MS) in Lifestyle Health and Wellness in 2017. This advanced degree is in support of my commitment to my patients overall health and is hopefully a testament that I truly believe oral and systemic health, as well as lifestyle, are all interconnected!

My world suffered a tremendous loss when my husband and business partner passed away from cancer in 2007. He was only able to enjoy his profession in our beautiful office for a short year and a half. Dr. Ryan Reid grew up in University Place, WA and is a proud alumni of Curtis High School. He also graduated from the University of Washington where he earned his Bachelors degree in Economics. He then went on to attend Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California where he graduated #4 in his class and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Reid was selected to the Deans List all 4 years of dental school, served as his classs Ethics Chair, and upon graduation was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Giving back to his community has always been a priority for Dr. Reid. He has volunteered with programs such as Special Olympics, Give Kids a Smile, the First 5 LA Community Health Initiative, the Meet Each Need with Dignity Dental Clinic, the San Gabriel Valley Foundation for Dental Health, and the South Sound Free Dental Day.

Dr. Reid is thrilled to be practicing in his hometown and enjoying all that the Northwest has to offer. He is, of course, a huge Husky and Seahawks fan, and enjoys all things outdoors. He married his wonderful wife Jenny in 2011, and they keep busy raising their 3 children. Dr. Reid believes that great dental care begins with compassion, honesty, and by listening to the needs of each patient.
