Dr. Jayakar graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. His dental career has spanned two decades and he is just 'getting started' as he firmly believes in lifelong learning to stay current in a constantly evolving world.
'Dr. J' enjoys putting patients first and changing lives by transforming smiles. He has attended the University of Kentucky for an Orthodontics Residency in 2015 and after two years decided to move back to dentistry.
Dr. J enjoys involvement in organized dentistry and has held leadership positions throughout his student life. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Zumbro Valley Dental Society. He has received multiple awards and scholarships for excellence in dentistry, leadership, ethics and has been recognized as a future contributor to the profession.
In 2020 he founded SOTA Family Dentistry after taking over the office of Dr. Tom Bro who served the community for 45 years. SOTA stands for 'State Of The Art' which is Dr. J 's vision for his Practice going forward and the transformation has already begun. With investments in upgrading the facilities, introducing a 3D Scanner, digital records and x-rays, use of Intraoral and Extraoral Photography and other advances we welcome you to have an experience like never before at an affordable price.
Dr. Jayakar is a Delta Premier Provider and our office offers Care-Credit third Party Financing as well as some In-house payment arrangements to meet your needs and ease the financial obstacles that often get in the way of treatment.
Grew up in Stewartville Worked with Dr. Bro for 7+ years Was in the financial industry for 30 years Family includes her husband Rick, a step-daughter , son in law and a grand-daughter Loves to take care of her flower garden, enjoys golf, bowls in the local league and swims.
Grew up in Port Angeles Washington. Has enjoyed being a hygienist for 23 years and looks forward to retirement. Married to Ed, a Rochester native who was in the Navy and they have been fortunate to live around the country. Has a daughter and a grandson who live in Stewartville. Enjoys Quilting, Knitting ,Canning and Crocheting. Always brings canned salsa and produce to share.

Awesome transition from Dr Bro to Dr J. My wife and I were concerned with getting a new Dentist after many years of the "no pain Dr Bro", but I'm happy to report that the tradition continues with Dr J. We both have had multiple cleanings, examinations and crown work done with Dr J and the work is explained, done on your schedule, and the outcome is a big smile. Patty is his go to person in the office and works with you to get scheduled, calls you in advance to make sure you don't forget, and is in the office to assist Dr J when you're in the chair. We are very happy with our care and how they care for us! You are working with someone that cares about you and your dental care. We haven't thought about going anywhere else and recommend Dr J for all of your dental needs. Welcome to Stewartville Dr J!

After a number of years without a regular dentist and then no dentist for many months and used to regular cleanings and checkups at the dental service I was with, I asked myself, " what now?" I decided to ask around and got a very good response from my sister about her dentist. I am pleased to say Dr. J will be my Dentist from now on. He is very good at letting one know what needs to be done and how what is best to do first. He is very gentle and concerned about his patients. I am very pleased with the office staff also.

I am a patient of Dr. Jayakar and am very satisfied with his care. I am a former patient of Dr. Bro who has transitioned to the care of Dr. Jayakar. I have had several visits with Dr. Jayakar for needed restorative treatment, crowns, and for routine dental evaluations and care over the past few years. Very friendly and helpful office staff. Very helpful and effective treatment. Very instructive as to what was the dental issue, what dental treatment was advised, how the dental treatment would help me, and as to what I could do to help myself. They were very helpful in dealing with dental insurance. I very much appreciated their help. I plan on continuing in the care of Dr. Jayakar in the years to come.

I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Jayakar. I was able to be seen quickly for a dental emergency. Dr. Jayakar explained options clearly. He is very attentive to the comfort and stress levels of patients. He also follows up to make sure things are going well after a procedure. His assistant Patty is efficient, helpful and friendly.

I, my family, and extended family have long been patients of Dr Bro. He provided gentle dentistry, I enjoyed being a patient of his. Several of my extended family have continued dental care with DR Jayakar. They have liked his care, and recommend him highly. I had a few dental issues, and am happy to say my experience was pleasant. He was friendly, defined choices for me, and listened to my concerns, I felt very comfortable, with the care, I received. Patty his office organizer, assistant, and appointment coordinator, who worked with DR Bro over the years, is an added benefit. She grew up in Stewartville and knows the community well.
