Dr. Justin Shyba recently moved back home and we are happy to have him join our team. He grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains and has been friends with Dr. Steve Mann for the past 15 years. He prides himself on being compassionate and attentive to his patients while showing great attention to detail during top quality work. When Dr. Shyba isn't treating his patients he is spending time with his wife and five children.
Dr Steve Mann has been practicing dentistry in Santa Cruz since 1986. Dr Mann graduated from UCSF Dental School in 1985 and returned to the Santa Cruz area to enjoy this great community. Dr Mann still enjoys surfing and soccer both here in Santa Cruz and in his travels. He is a member of the CDA and ADA.
When asked about his dental practice Dr Mann had this to say, 'I am most proud of the great team of people I have had the good fortune to work with over the years. We are able to provide excellent dentistry in a caring, friendly manner and we strive continually to provide excellent service for all our patients!'
Bonnie has been a part of the Soquel Dental team for the past 28 years. Inher free time she enjoys coaching girls softball, sewing, traveling andspending time with her husband, two children and their family dog, Sadie.
Michele has worked in the dental field for 25+ years. Outside of the officeher free time is spent with her husband and three grown children, She lovesyoga, cooking, walks on the beach and volunteering with her therapy dog,Clara.
Jenn has been a part of the Soquel Dental team for the past 15 years. Sheworked as an assistant for many years and then returned to school to becomea dental hygienist. She is a graduate of the Cabrillo College DentalHygiene program. Jenn loves caring and interacting with the patients atSoquel Dental. When she is not at work you can find her enjoying life withher husband, her daughter and her dog, Chancie.
Jeanette has worked in the dental field for over 30 years. She loves herwork and her patients. Jeanette's days off are filled with outdooractivities like camping, biking and anything by or on the water.
Evi was born in Switzerland and came to Santa Cruz in 1984. She has workedfor Soquel Dental Office for 30+ years and enjoys interacting withpatients. Evi loves walking by the ocean, knitting and playing with hercat.

I went here for years and always had a positive experience at all of my visits but the way that I was spoken to on my last phone call was condescending and unprofessional.

This places changes your entire perspective on going to the dentist. Loved coming here. Went to another dentist originally and was told I needed more work than I truly did. Came here from a reference from a friend. Best experience I've ever had. The staff was all SO NICE and welcoming. Truly take time to connect with the patients and making you feel so comfortable. Didn't feel a thing. Literally almost fell asleep getting work done. Dr. Shyba is awesome. This office is just full of great humans. I live an hour away and will make this my permanent regular office. No longer have the fear of coming to the dentist.

My appointment was very good. The care and protocols for Covid made me feel safe. Bonnie is always great to deal with. Courtney was my dental hygienist and she was friendly and efficient

I have to say I've been going to Soquel Dental for years now and every time it's been great. Bonnie, Jill and especially the dentists are all excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My wife and I switched over a few years ago to Soquel Dental Office and we couldn't be happier about the decision! We've received impeccable care and help with our oral/dental health. My wife has been their biggest fan with her new dentures - they fit phenomenally, and the after-care and support she received was excellent.

I had several extractions this weekend at Soquel Dental Office and was treated well and professionally by everyone involved. I appreciate their care and empathy regarding their patients.
