Our dental office is a five star facility. From the chandeliers in the bathrooms, to the relaxing massage room in the reception area, to the special kids play area, to our one of a kind art gallery; we have done our best to think of any luxuries that could make our patients experience as pleasurable as possible.
We have a team of highly committed individuals who want nothing more than to provide the best for their patients. Each team member is committed to continued growth and education. Our team members take three times the amount of continuing education than the average dental team. We have morning huddles to go over any special needs that our patients may have to make the day go as smoothly as possible.
Once a month we have a four hour training session to go over updates on how to deliver the best service possible for our patients. Our team has a get it done and then some attitude. This means that they want to make each and every visit special for our patients. They look for ways to go above and beyond on a daily basis.
Dr. Cameron is truly something special. She has walls full of awards, but is still very humble when asked about all that she has achieved. She has been named one of Americas Top Dentists by the Consumers Research Council of America, every year since 2003. She is a Fellow of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. She is a Sustaining Member of the AACD and a member of the ADA, AGD, and AADSM. Dr. Cameron takes over 100 hours of continuing education every year (the average dentist takes about 20 hours of CE per year).
She is constantly looking for ways to deliver the best and most modern care possible for her patients. She has advanced training in providing metal-free restorations, treatment of TMJ/TMD, sedation dentistry, and of course advanced cosmetic training. Above all Dr. Cameron truly cares about each individual that she treats. She loves what she does and it shows.
When you visit our office for the first time, we want you to feel the difference. Our team has taken extra care to design a comfortable and relaxed environment. From our warm and welcoming rooms to our state-of-the-art technology, our goal is to make you feel comfortable while making your smile beautiful!
Heres some information of what you can expect during your initial visit at Sophisticated Smiles. We will perform an examination of your teeth and gums, discuss pertinent medical and dental histories, take necessary x-rays (our computerized x-rays reduce radiation up to 90%) and/or do a teeth cleaning.
All of us at Sophisticated Smiles look forward to seeing your smile! When you visit our dental office you will experience an ambiance that is relaxing and comfortable while you enjoy music from our headphones and seat in one of our massage chairs.
In 2002, Dr. Cameron took over a well established private practice in Johnson City, TN and transformed it into Sophisticated Smiles. In 2012, she also took over the TMJ Treatment Clinic and relocated it inside her Sophisticated Smiles office.
Dr. Cameron chose to practice in East Tennessee in order to be close to her family. She is married to Dr. Jason Cunningham, who has a dental practice in Erwin, TN (Cunningham Dental and a private practice in Johnson City, TN called A+ Extractions and Dentures). They have two beautiful children, Andrew and Alexis. In her spare time, Dr. Cameron likes to read, spend time with her family, and is active in church and charity organizations.
Dr. Cameron is a Fellow in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (FDOCS), a General Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Cameron and her staff have been absolutely amazing. I have struggled with my self image for several years due to a few missing teeth in the back. You could see them when I smiled and it was bothersome. They worked with me to come up with the best plan for longevity and something that was aesthetically pleasing. They provided the most amazing care throughout the entire process. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Cameron and Sophisticated Smiles!

I had a gum lift done for top teeth. Healing was fast because they used a laser. There is a little more gum tissue I want taken off, which they will do free of charge other than the cost of nitrous oxide. Even though they are going to take a little more tissue off, the results already look really good; it's night and day. Staff is friendly and professional. They'll go over everything with you and try to give you an idea of what to expect.

Flawless experience! If you want the best you need not search any further. I read the reviews on several places before deciding to try Sophisticated Smiles. It was going to be about a month out before an appt opened up but I decided a place with excellent 5 star reviews and a wait list would be worth my time and the wait. There is nothing not to love about this place and the people! They take excellent, meticulous care of you and make you feel like a VIP. Completely transformed my smile and self confidence. They will have you wait months for an appointment just to tell you that they don't accept humana.. The most astounding part is that when I first arrived there I explained to them exactly what I was needing and how I was paying just to show up to my appointment which was rescheduled twice and they tell me they only accept cash.. The whole place is ran by older women who seem like they have trouble communicating and this caused me to wait 3 months. Never have I ever wasted so much time because of incompetent people.

I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and atmosphere created by this office to ensure that their patients are at ease. I have anxiety and fear when visiting the dentist and they made sure to try and alleviate any such feelings! They are WONDERFUL!!
