In order to meet all these variables Dr. Cutters main objective is to get to know you as a patient and as a person. The entire Soothing Dental team performs under the same understanding. We see dentistry as an opportunity to offer a service that goes beyond treating your teeth.
Our mission at Soothing Dental is to hold your hand and walk you through the treatment you need in a comfortable and friendly environment. Dentistry does not need to be complicated or scary. We can help you and your family to get and maintain happy, beautiful and healthy smiles! Carrying on the excellent dental care this practice has offered for over 40 years is our primary mission.
Practicing dentistry is something I am truly passionate about. It is an opportunity to contribute to my patients health and quality of life. By treating my patients I can improve and maintain their oral health, enhance their smiles esthetics and establish a relationship with them. Getting to really know my patients allows me to tailor their dental treatment to their needs, desires and finances.
I would like to share a little about myself in order for you to get to know me better. I moved to Michigan in 2005 after obtaining my DDS degree and working in private practice for a number of years in Caracas-Venezuela, where I was born and raised.
In Michigan I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the University of Michigan where I completed a 2-year Post-Doctorate program in 'Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry' along with the great experience of teaching. Following my graduate studies I taught for a short time at Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry.
Teaching was a wonderful experience, but I deeply missed the connections and trust that are created in private practice. Establishing a personal relationship with my patients and their families and being able to take care of their oral health and smiles is my true passion!
I live in Novi with my husband Kreig, who was born and raised in Michigan, and my two wonderful children. If you like to get to know me better, ask me about my family, my passion of health related matters, or my love of cooking and fitness. I am interested in finding out what is special to you, too!
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan. I have had the privilege to work in this dental practice for over 20 years. I worked with Dr. Robert Evans (founder of this practice), Dr. Ken Hovey and also Dr. Andrea Vivian. What I have enjoyedmost is the rapport and lasting relationships I have built with my patients, while always striving to provide an unsurpassed quality of dentalcare. I am now blessed to be working with Dr. Cutter (2015) and I am confident we will carry on that tradition! I agree with this quote from Dr. Evans, 'What makes dentistry such a great career is not the teeth that we treat, but it is the people that are attached to the teeth!'
I studied Education at Northern Michigan University and worked for the Hilbert School District in Wisconsin. I always found myself interested in a beautiful smile, which motived me to take Dental Assisting classes at Fox Valley Technical Institute in Appleton, WI. Classes were focused on all aspects of front desk management and dental assisting. I took the dental assisting board exam in Green Bay, WI and worked for a year there before making the move back to Michigan. I worked as dental assistant in downtown Plymouth until I had my three beautiful children. From there, I worked 17 years for two dentists in Westland. Then, I decided to make the move back to Plymouth where I began working with Dr. Vivian and Dr. Hovey. I look forward to seeing and being involved in the growth that Dr. Cutter has in store for the practice.
My husband is a Plymouth native who teaches in the Plymouth-Canton School District. I have two sons, Adam and Kevin, and a daughter, Brett. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, being outside, and spending time with my family, my dog, and my friends.

I am really happy I found Soothing Dental. Dr. Cutter and her team are so welcoming and make your appointment goes smoothly! I seem to always be nervous going to the dentist and was not at all during any moment. Jane the receptionist makes sure you have everything you need and is the sweetest! The hygienist Sue was very nice and did my cleaning. She explained her process through the entire appointment and made sure to check on me through it! Dr. Cutter takes time with her patients and really is there for you not only from a dental aspect, but also as a person! This is an awesome office and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new dentist! The office is located right in downtown Plymouth and easy to get to and parking! Highly recommend!

Dr. Cutter was fantastic and so was her office staff and hygienists. I met her for my first visit with her and she spent time speaking with me after my cleaning and I really appreciated the conversation. She was very professional and great bedside manners. I would recommend her to my family and friends

I have never had such an enjoyable experience at the dentist. I always figured there was a limit to how great a dental visit could be, but they're definitely called "Soothing Dental" for a reason! You actually leave the office feeling relaxed and better than you did when you came in! Dr. Cutter is great as well. I could definitely tell that she is an expert at what she does and is a very trustworthy doctor. The other staff is an absolute delight as well. See you all next time!

After decades of familiar and successful dental care my dentist was insensitive enough to retire before I died. We said our goodbyes, I wished him well, and he mentioned his pleasure in finding Dr. Cutter to take over the practice and thought I would like her. That turned out to be an understatement: I can tell you a year later that Dr. Cutter is an exceptional professional and a wonderful person. The office, the staff (including a couple familiar faces), the exam rooms, all reflect her experience and knowledge of the latest science, technology, and medicine necessary to make you comfortable and confident. What you read on the Soothing Dental website is exactly what you find as a patient of Dr. Cutter. But no dentistry is complete without the art it takes to finely and aesthetically customize dental work to each individual patient, and, most importantly, the desire to come to know each patient as a person. You want to smile when you see her. I am grateful to have a dentist like Dr. Cutter.

She explains what needs to be done, listens to your concerns and works to get the results that you want. Not only will you be pleased with the results but you will be very happy with the manner in which you are treated. Doctor Cutter and her staff work to make sure that you are totally comfortable through out any procedure. Look no further....they are the BEST!

I needed a filling in my front tooth and I'm very fearful of dental care. Dr. Cutter relieved my fear and did not cause any pain. She was wonderful, very careful and I felt very confident in her skills. I will consult her again if need arises. I sincerely recommend her services.
