Dr. Shadow is a native of Houston, Texas and moved to the Valley of the Sun in 2002 to begin her practice in orthodontics. She received her dental and orthodontic degrees from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center, the largest medical center in the world.
While studying in the Texas Medical Center, Dr. Shadow had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best scientific minds on groundbreaking research. She has contributed to the field of orthodontics on several published research projects. The daughter of a scientist, Dr. Shadow spent quite a bit of time as a child in her fathers laboratory learning the scientific method. She still uses the scientific method when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment planning of orthodontic cases.
Dr. Samantha Vu has been practicing in Arizona since 2003. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University and her orthodontic degree from Saint Louis University. Dr. Vu has always had a passion for learning and is truly a scientist at heart.
She continues to further her knowledge and keeps up with the latest research and development in all areas of healthcare.Her knowledge base, combined with her talents as an artist, bring a unique quality to the practice of orthodontics. Dr. Vuhas conducted research on the effects of oral-facial-dental development through a lifetime, which has helped her specialize in the areas of childhood dentofacial development, adult treatment, and facial aesthetics. She pays particular attention to facial harmonies and sees every case as a work of art.
Dr. Christensen graduated from UNLV with a BS degree in Biomechanical Kinesiology. He received his dental training at Creighton University and subsequently completed his orthodontic specialty training at Baylor College of Dentistry.
Dr. Christensen has been practicing orthodontics in the Phoenix area since 2002. He also lectures domestically and internationally to orthodontists and orthodontic residents on orthodontic treatment mechanics.

Victoria and Dr. Cox were very welcoming and kind. This is my second time coming to this location and I can say that through this experience I felt comfortable, safe, and we'll taken care of.

I totally recommend this place, the staff was so friendly knows what's they are doing. I had kazja she's the sweetest. She put on my braces made me feel comfortable & the way she was explaining the whole process made me feel like I made the right choice in coming here. You will not regret it highly recommended. Plus Samantha Vu is such an awesome person & everyone is so welcoming.

Horrible. Rude front desk, rude specialists. They all have attitudes and are in a rush! Stay away. Bad customer service. STAY AWAY!!!

We brought our daughter in for the first time and we were so lucky to have Kazjah as our dental/ortho hygienist. She was very patient and answered a lot of questions for us nervous parents and nervous patient! She is super skilled with a great bedside manner, and we have so much confidence in her! We had an excellent experience and would totally recommend Sonoran Smile to our friends and family.

My experience at Sonoran smile Arcadia has been excellent. My Ortho assistant, Victoria, was very skilled and I could tell that she has a lot of experience in this field. She made me feel comfortable and like I was in good hands! My smile is really coming together beautifully. She also was able to get me out the door and to work on time while still doing an a wonderful job. I really love Dr. Cox and this orthodontic office. Highly recommended!

I had a little imperfection on my front tooth that bugged me. It was barely noticeable. In Oct I decided to get it fixed and started looking for an orthodontist, well I found Dr. Vu at Sonoran Smile Orthodontics and from the moment I met her I knew I wanted her to fix my "crooked" tooth, she has the perfect colgate smile! ;) She suggested invisalign and I got my first tray in November. Today was my last day wearing them, 5 months!! Whoot! She worked her magic, filled a few chips I had on my bottom teeth that I hadn't even thought to fix, she filed them, she did this and that...I couldn't be any happier with the outcome!! If anyone is looking for an orthodontist I strongly suggest you go see her. She's a perfectionist, she's detailed and she's the sweetest person ever.

Sonoran Smile is an incredible orthodontics office. Not only do they give and care about the community around them but they are so good with patients too! My 11 year old daughter is almost done with her braces and the process has been flawless. I love both Dr. Shadow and Dr. Vu and all of the staff. They are so kind and understanding. Very clean and trendy too. Thank you guys for a great experience! I have 4 kids. I am sure I will be back :)

I have to say that Dr. Vu and her team are hands down the most amazing people!! They truly care about their patients and take a personal interest in their treatment. I had visited several offices trying to find the right orthodontist to make me feel comfortable and informed about the treatment process. This Office is Amazing! They have a dependable staff who are super caring and their prices are cheaper than others I have compared to around the Valley! The offices are extremely clean and they make you feel welcome from the moment you step in the office. Thanks for being so awesome Sonoran Smile!
