Dr. Jiries Jerry Mogannam was born and raised in Santa Rosa and graduated from Cardinal Newman high school. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Davis and his dental degree at UCLA. He then went on to complete his medical degree and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. Mogannam is very excited to be able to practice in Sonoma County where his family roots are deep. He is married to Cindy, a dietitian, and together they have three children, Gabrielle, Peter, and Danielle.
Dr. Mogannams Oral Surgery interests include treatment of children and young adults, implant surgery, bone grafting, and facial reconstruction. Outside of oral surgery his hobbies include playing with his children, running and working out.
Dr. Chavez was born and raised in Santa Rosa and graduated from Montgomery High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at Sonoma State and earned his dental degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He then went on to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University of Pacific/Highland Hospital.
Dr. Chavezs oral surgery interests include treating dental phobic patients, implant surgery, bone grafting, trauma, TMJ, and facial reconstruction. Outside of oral surgery he enjoys spending time with his family, running, sports and exercising.
Dr. Christopher Chow was born in Palm Springs and raised in the Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate degree at University of California at Davis and his dental degree at University of Pacific at San Francisco. He then went on to complete his medical degree, two years of general surgery, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Texas at Houston. Prior to pursuing a career in dentistry, he worked as a wildlife firefighter and helped manage his familys doughnut shop.
Dr. Chow is very excited to join Sonoma County Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center. His interests include the treatment of children and adults, dental extractions, implant surgery, bone grafting, and facial reconstruction.
Outside of dentistry, his hobbies include spending time with his family, Olympic weightlifting, hiking, camping, and rock climbing. His wife Annie is a nurse practitioner and together they started a new family with their daughter, Jesse.

Hello Oral Surgery, I am doing very well after my surgery on Oct. 21. I did not and do not feel any pain at all. I did have some discomfort with my sinuses on Oct. 22, especially sneezing a lot and runny nose. But that's much better now. Should I get a surgery follow up appointment and/or an appointment for the peg implant? Thanks, Anne

Dr. Mogannam installed 2 implants today. I was made comfortable with a warm blanket and sun glasses. Dr. Mogannam explained what was going to happen and said to let him know if I was uncomfortable at any time. Everything went smoothly and I only felt pressure on my jaw. They stopped and let me close my mouth to rest from time to time which was very helpful. The discomfort was minimal and Dr. Mogannam and his Assistant Gaby were working together as a great team making sure I was ok all throughout the procedure. I was given post surgery instructions and an ice pack with prescriptions. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Mogannam because he made me feel safe with his care and he is kind, caring and very professional. Thank you to Dr. Mogannam and staff. Patty Quinten 10-26-2022

Very professional, kind and understanding. I was nervous for my wisdom teeth and they were very kind and gentle with everything. I felt very comfortable with them. Surgery went fast and well, and they even helped me out to my car and gave me my chompers. Very professional and caring group

Dr.M is a five star Dr!!!!!!!!!!!If your like me, this process is scary, and brutal, mentally, Dr.M, ad staff are kind, supportive, caring, smart, good at their tasks!!!!!!!He will answer all ???,ad give you the proper anistesia, for your situation. I hate doing this again in three weeks,but must...So I trust this office 100%, but still dread it!!!Revise....always consistent, in a wacky time ! TY all in Crew! Third time and again very great ! 2nd time around here with Dr. Mogannam; surgery was painless (which I expected), efficient, and I again was taken care of in a most competent fashion. My dentist strongly recommended the Mogannam/Chavez oral surgeon practice, and he was spot on.

I had an appointment with Dr. Chow on October 11th. I was in such pain this morning (the 7th) I called the office to see if Dr. Chow could order pain meds for me. Instead of ordering those meds, he fit me into his already full October 7th schedule. He'd said. "no individual should wait with the kind of pain". Now, that's what I call compassion. Plus, his surgical dental assistant ( whose name I wish I could recall) was just wonderful; knowledgeable, efficient and very kind just as was the front desk staff. I'm a very happy one-less-tooth 74-yo woman. Oh, and no pain:)
