Dr. Brian Song and Dr. Arthur Munar are both gentle, passionate dentists who are driven by their faith to treat all patients with dignity and respect, truly caring for them with each interaction. Even though Dr. Munar will be stepping away from the dental office, hes confident that hes leaving it in excellent and kind hands with Dr. Song. With years of clinical experience and an ongoing dedication to continuing education, Dr. Song provides the latest treatments with technical expertise and compassion.
Dr. Brian Song was born in Toronto, Canada and raised in Northfield, Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Song has volunteered dental services with the MN Mission of Mercy, Common Hope in Antigua, Guatemala, and CMDA Global Health Outreach Missions in Beirut, Lebanon. He currently serves as a Council Member of the Chicago CMDA chapter.
Dentistry actually isnt Dr. Songs first career! After college, he worked in corporate finance and accounting for seven years, and even earned a CPA designation. However, he knew his heart was not in the industry for much longer. After a long process of self-reflection and reaching out to various healthcare professionals, he eventually met a dentist who became a mentor to him. Dr Song saw the intricate and artistic nature of dentistry, the relationships built with patients and staff, and knew this was the path for him.
One of Dr. Songs favorite aspects of being a dentist is building genuine relationships with his patients and their families. Its a joy catching up on lifes milestones during each checkup. He considers it a privilege to be part of the restoration process restoring not only smiles, but confidence as well.
Dr. Song completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Since then, he has remained passionate about continuing education, receiving extensive training in advanced dental implant and grafting surgery, endodontics, Invisalign, and aesthetic smile design. He will soon earn his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a designation only 6% of general dentists have achieved in North America. Dr. Song is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Away from work, Dr. Song and Leslie love to host meals for family and friends. Their travels have taken them all over the world, but their favorite destinations have been Spain, Kenya, and the Seychelles. They find joy being involved in their church, South Loop Park Community Church. Dr. Song enjoys staying active by running and biking along the lakefront.
Dr. Munar graduated from Northwestern University School of Dentistry in 1989 and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He enjoys being, above all else, his patients friend and partner in the oral health process. He takes a unique approach to dentistry with continuing education, modern technology, precise attention to detail, and that often-overlooked element of genuine concern for those in his care. When he isnt busy caring for teeth, he likes staying active in his community, providing mission relief work in far-away locations like Panama, supporting his church, running, and bicycling. As he plans to transition out of the dental field, he feels confident that Dr. Song will continue to practice dentistry with the same commitment to quality and compassion.

The office is located near the highway with ample parking. The office is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very knowledgeable and well trained. They provide great tips and advice to promote dental health. The dentist and staff are very patient and professional. The dentist is super with great eyes for details. He is very passionate and personable who makes you feel at ease. We really like their service. We highly recommend Song Dental for your needs.

Easy to get a good appointment. My recent cleaning was quick and done with no discomfort. Dr. Munar checked on the general health. Over the years that I have been with Dr. Munar my teeth and gums have gotten much better and have have little to no problems. In addition the treatments I received (for cavities, crowns and root canal work) have been with very little discomfort and no complications. Clearly recommendable.

Good facility and nice staff, but if you are not careful they will provide unnecessary treatments which are not covered by your insurance. This happened to me the third time despite telling them to do only what my insurance covers. ***UPDATE**** Ever since Dr. Munar left, the facility is a mess with poor administrative staff who only cares about money. They used to charge after the EOB was generated by the insurance, but now they have started charging upfront without waiting for the EOB. This often results in a refund or zero payment due to overcharging which is a pain when you make a payment through an FSA account.

Dr. Song is very experienced and delicate with his patients. What I like most about Dr. Song is that he explains everything in detail before and while he is doing any dental work. His dental staff are very experienced and friendly.

Dr. Song is a wonderful dentist who is very kind, gentle, honest, and skilled. He is passionate about what he does and genuine in the way he cares for his patients. He will only recommend treatment that is in the best interest of his patients and explains treatment in a very thorough way. His staff are all very warm and caring as well. In the past I've dreaded cleanings since they tend to be a bit rough on my gums but the cleaning I received was very gentle and yet thorough at the same time. The office itself is the most beautiful dental practice I've set foot in and it is well maintained and clean.

This was my 3rd visit to Song Dental and all have been a good experience. This was to replace a filling but he also did a crown for me in July. Dr. Song is very gentle and does excellent work. His technicians are equally competent and professional. Would definitely recommend Song Dental.

Song dental is truly wonderful! The entire staff is professional, friendly and accommodating! Dr. Song cares and you know this because he listen's to all our concerns, takes whatever time is needed, it never seems rushed and he explains everything in detail. My entire family comes here we all trust him and his team and we can't be happier with our care!!! Looking for a dental home...Song Dental is a gem!!!!

I'm so glad that I found Song Dental. 1. Location: very easy to find; big parking lot (free) 2. The clinic: nice, quiet and clean 3. People: everyone's super friendly. Doctor Song and Tess did a great job explaining my situation in details; Diana helped a lot on making schedules for me; Mira has a great numbing technique when injecting anesthesia, I felt little to no pinch to the needle.

Amazing front desk staff. Mirah is amazing and always does an amazing job. Dr. Song really cares for his patients and he takes his time to make sure that patients are satisfied with the results and he involves them in the decision making process.

Dr Song and all his dental staff is exceptional, make you feel comfortable and at ease. Unfortunately the woman in the front office who usually signs you out and takes final payments is not the friendliest person in the world. I have always had a great and friendly experience in the past during my appointment, ,somewhat disappointed.
