Graduated from Edwardsville High School in 2001. He continued his education at Milliken University and graduated in 2004. He attended the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine from 2006-2010. After graduating dental school he worked at two dental practices in Vandalia and Belleville Illinois. Dr. Sones opened his practice, Sones Family Dental, LLC in Glen Carbon in 2013. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
Dr. Throm grew up in Collinsville, Illinois. She graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Throms goal is to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible while in her care, and establish trusting relationships while providing the best dental care possible. In her free time, Dr. Throm enjoys spending time with her fianc Danny, going to country concerts, and running.
Dr. Bowman grew up in McLeansboro, and graduated from Southern Illinois University of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bowmans goal is to care for her patients in the most compassionate way; and, to provide them with high-quality dental care that will exceed their expectations and give them great comfort and satisfaction with their dental care. During her free time Dr. Bowman enjoys relaxing while reading her latest Sci-Fi novel.

Sones family dental really is amazing. I can take all 6 kids at the same time, we get in and out quick and all of them love it! No tears. He's awesome and doesn't ever try to upcharge. I recommend sones family dental to everyone I know.

Everyone was beyond amazing! I had a broken tooth causing me a lot of pain and they were able to get me in quickly, even as a new patient, to help me get it resolved. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the very receptionists and made to feel at home. The doctor and assistants were very kind and talked me through everything to make me feel more comfortable knowing I'm not a huge fan of the dentist. I highly recommend this office and will be referring anyone and everyone I know looking for dental care to them!

After my boyfriend came home with a prescriptions for antibiotics and painkillers, he was in tears. The dentist had told him to come back after "winning the lottery" to extract a fully rotted tooth. We will be paying out of pocket to get the molar addressed immediately at a different dentist. We didn't win the lottery :)

This man very clearly insulted me to my face about the quality of my teeth. Then insured me he won't be seeing me until I win the lottery.. The building seems to be unlocked and unattended at the moment while 6 people are in the waiting room. A picture of a clock on the door says be back at 1.

Drs and staff alike are super nice! They explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Dr sones took out my wisdom teeth, him and his assistant debbie made sure to comfort and console me when I was freaking out. Very thankful!

I love going to Sones Family Dental! The office staff and Doctors are always so helpful and can typically get me in within the week when I call in. I have never had a bad experience with this office. I highly recommend going to Sones Family Dental for anyone looking for a dentist.

The staff here are amazing , and I think this is the first dentist since I was like 12, where I didn't feel uncomfortable. They made me feel so welcomed and treated me like an actual person and not just another patient. I would definitely recommend either of the dentist that work at sones. I appreciate all they helped me with and I wil definitely be bringing me family and friends here!! 10/10 !!

Worst experience I've ever had. Every time I've gone in to get a cavity fixed, I leave in pain. My most recent experience he Dr.Sones glued my teeth together, went in for a post opp for him to fix it and it still wasn't fixed. So the third time I went in he pushed me off to another Dr, who finally fixed it. Both post ops were supposed to be free considering he messed up, again. They charged my insurance all three times. Worst service and staff. Will never go back again. I'm Not the first patient this has happened to either. A friend of mine just had a very similar experience.

Hard pass for me and my family. I don't appreciate getting calls that bills are owed because they didn't verify benefits. When questioned they told me that's my responsibility (though how do I know what treatment is taking place before arriving???) I called WITH my insurance company to resolve and was told they couldn't talk because it's a hippa issue (untrue- guess they forgot my occupation) They literally send my claims to an insurance company but can't talk to them? GTFO! Dr sones was amazing and it's a shame his office staff is negatively impacting his practice.
