Dr. Maleckis initial interest in the dental field was definitely thanks to his family, but over time, hes grown to love so many aspects of the work and its smile-inducing results. More than anything, he really enjoys building long-lasting relationships with patients and treating them just like members of his own family. His care approach is always centered around their needs first, with plenty of attention to detail, genuine compassion, and emphasis on the importance of preventive care.
Dr. Malecki achieved his Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the DePaul University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. Following graduation, he has gone to complete countless continuing education courses in order to further his skills for the sake of patients in need, including advanced training in painless tooth extractions, painless root canal therapy, and implant dentistry. When he isnt busy caring for patients, Dr. Malecki is a big Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. He grew up playing hockey and still enjoys occasionally lacing up his favorite skates when he can find some free time in his busy schedule. Other favorite hobbies include staying fit, playing golf, fishing, traveling, and reading a good book. Running is a definite passion in particular so far, hes successfully completed the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, NYC Marathon, Chicago Half Marathon, and Rutgers Half Marathon!
Dr. Sommers graduated from Loyola Dental School with a vision to create a dental office focused on providing patients with personalized, professional, quality dental care in a caring and relaxed environment. He purchased a dental office in the Dental Arts Building and achieved his goal. Twenty-five years and one dental office move later, his focus is still the same and he has instilled his vision in the competent and compassionate team as Sommers Family Dental. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Sommers enjoys spending time with his two boys, exercising, playing tennis, skiing, and occasionally takes in a old classic movie.
