Dr. Nikhilesh Rao Gorukanti or Dr. Nick, as he is affectionately known to his colleagues, grew up in the other town of Somerville, which is located in New Jersey. He pursued dentistry due to his love of the specialty and his desire to make a difference in patients lives. Dr. Nick firmly believes that patients oral health is a vital part of their overall health. He strives to use his science and artistic background to improve his patients oral health and to overcome cosmetic dental challenges.
He earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Science at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and graduated with magna cum laude. He then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at TUSDM, he not only excelled at treating his patients, but also participated as a clinical tutor to help his underclassmen with both clinical and lab work. Before opening Somerville Family Dental, Dr. Nick worked as an associate in multiple offices in Boston.
Somerville Family Dental (SFD) is a state of the art digital dental practice that provides comprehensive dental care for adults and children. SFD was designed by Dr. Nick himself from scratch because he believes that a dental visit should be stress-free and pleasant as possible while providing high quality dental care. We are equipped with TVs and massage chairs to ensure that patients are very relaxed and comfortable. We are located on 365 Somerville Ave. Somerville, MA right next to the famous Neighborhood restaurant.
