I am a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. I continued my dental training at Rutgers University for an additional three years toobtainmy specialty degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, and a Master of Dental Science for my research in the field of orthodontics. Iachieved the highest certification of the orthodontic profession by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2014.
I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the MiddleAtlantic Association of Orthodontists, and New Jersey Association of Orthodontists. I am proud to offer the most cutting-edge techniques and digital technology in the orthodontic field, including iTero digital scanning, accelerated orthodontics, lingual braces, and Invisalign.
I am a native of Staten Island and currently live in Hillsborough with my wife Natasha. She is a nurse practitioner who specializes in womens health. We met in Philadelphia when we were both studying at the University of Pennsylvania. We enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and playing with our two cats, Eva and Lola. We are thrilled to have welcomed our third child, baby Ryan Peterman, on August 20th, 2020! Robbie and Charlotte are loving being a big brother and sister!

I am responsible for all clinical activities in the office, including making retainers, taking X-rays, keeping track of inventory, and most importantly, making sure our patients are having a great experience. I have a dental radiology license, and continue to learn the most up-to-date advances in dental technology as Dr. Peterman introduces them into our office.
We strive to make our patients and parents feel special right from the first phone call. Our highly experienced staff is very informative and walks you right through your first experience at the complimentary clinical examination.
Once you arrive, Dr. Peterman and our clinical staff take over to continue that warm and friendly experience. There is no pressure to make any quick decisions here. We often get compliments from people on what a great experience they had right from the start!

We always keep up on the latest techniques to keep our office current on new technology. Our fully digital office features state-of-the-art iTero digital impressions and digital X-rays. Digital technology allows you to experience a visit that is stress-free and relaxing. As an impression-less office, our iTero digital scanner obtains your records, allows you to view a digital model of your teeth on screen, and even simulates your smile outcome!
What currently sets us apart from other orthodontic offices in the area is that we routinely applyfixed bonded lingual retainers forour patients after they have finished with their active orthodontic treatment.
Patients today are now looking for retention options that are invisible and comfortable. The prevention of relapse of crowding, rotations, or spacing in the maxillary and mandibular anterior segments following orthodontic treatment often necessitates long-term retention. The fixed retainers are bonded to the backsides of the upper and lower front teeth. They are a perfect option for all our patients!

Dr. Peterman Is such a nice and caring man. Today was our first trip over to his office. His office is very beautiful and well appointed with very modern equipment. All of the staff there was super nice to us. We just moved to the United States from Ukraine, so English is not our first language and the staff was so warm and inviting to my daughter. Braces are not always a happy experience, but the staff and doctor were so wonderful to my daughter, it was nothing but positive. I cannot recommend this office enough! Do not hesitate to go see Dr. Peterman!

Dr Peterman and staff are professional and always very pleasant, most importantly I never have to wait! As an adult getting braces I was nervous, Dr Peterman (& staff) very patient., answered all my questions, I'm half way through and cannot wait to see the final outcome! Staff is underprepared. They told us to make an appointment over the phone to get my sister's Invisalign, and when we showed up the next morning they didn't have us in their system and weren't prepared for my sister. We had to reschedule, which is not bad if they hadn't given us such attitude over THEIR own error and lack of consistency and professionalism. All in all, rude staff (especially elderly woman with the blond hair).

My name is Sofia and I have been a patient of Dr. Petermans since March of 2020. From the first visit when I had braces put on, to every follow up appointment through to the very last appointment I was always treated with kindness. Dr. Peterman and the entire staff were always so patient and nice and made sure I was completely comfortable with the process. Dr. Peterman is great and always so nice to my kiddo. (11 yr old, on the spectrum) Making him feel comfortable and explaining things well. Only doing what's needed and getting us in & out quick. I would definitely recommend him. His office staff is great as well!!!

My daughter started her treatment with the beginnings of COVID, the office was always very organized and safe. Throughout the process the doctor was transparent with the treatment, next steps, and overall goals. I am very surprised by how fast and obvious the changes are.

My daughter put her braces on just before Covid. Dr Peterman had to fix her braces a couple of times while the office was closed. He did it, he helped her, he made the whole experience unique.. He is excellent at what he is doing and a wonderful person. Also, his staff is the most friendly and helpful I've ever met. They always try to help you find appointment on the day you want, are super friendly with the kid and the parents, they explain everything and they are supporting from the first to the last day.. We couldn't be happier with the experience and the results!
