My professional career in dentistry started 17 years ago at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. I furthered my education by completing a 2 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Significant achievements in my career include when I attained Board Certification by the American Board of General Dentistry. Currently, only 1 percent of general dentists have achieved this prestigious Board Certification status. Another significant achievement was attaining Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry. Only 24 dentists in the Commonwealth have attained this professional distinction and I am proud to be counted among them. I served 6 years in the United States Army as a dental officer and in 2014 I left the Army after I received promotion to Major and returned to civilian life as owner of Somerset Family Dentistry. Since that time our office has continued to expand the range of clinical services offered and are proud to deliver some of the most innovative and cutting edge dental treatment available.
My wife, Elisabeth, and I have been married 15 years and we are blessed with 4 beautiful children, Catherine, James, Claire, and Rachel. Elisabeth graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked as a physician assistant and is currently Admissions coordinator for Somerset Christian School. On weekends you can find us at cross country meets, soccer games, or a host of other extracurricular activities.
