Summerset dental probably one of the worst places ever!!!! it takes you 6 months to get appointments then after you have them they wait till the day before to tell you important information. Highly recommend going somewhere else

I took my autistic 4 year old here and had an amazing experience. Typically doctors offices of any kind are difficult and stressful but they made the visit the smoothest process. Better yet no meltdowns! The staff was extremely kind as well.

I have been going to Somerset Dental for so many years, and just recently have been extremely disappointed in just about everything they do. From multiple fillings literally falling out when I'm eating to the attitude I receive in person and over the phone. I had two appointments get rescheduled several times due to doctors not being in. I understand the situation was unchangeable, but that's not my fault so why am I receiving such horrible service? Called in today and was asked if I "just want to try a different dentist" I do...mainly because you're all so immensely disrespectful and treat people horribly. Definitely need some reevaluating in their customer service techniques.

If I could give them a 0 I would. What a terrible experience for my elderly aunt. The worst staff imaginable.

I took my son to somerset dental in Richland because he had 3 small cavities. I opted for laughing gas because he gets very anxious at times. He was very relaxed going in and wasn't upset.. then when they were ready to give the laughing gas they said I had to go into the waiting room and couldn't stay. So I went and waited (over an hour). I thought I could hear him yelling but thought maybe I was imagining it cause I was nervous myself. No one came out and said anything was wrong. When he was done the doctor told me he didn't have a "good report". They said he was biting and wouldn't cooperate and they only did 2 of the fillings and they didn't think they were good quality. So they did an X-ray to check them and they aren't good. They recommended me to go to a different doctor that will put him to sleep and do it. He has a fat lip and I'm just so upset cause the whole situation is just crazy to me. The laughing gas should have relaxed him. If they were having trouble they should have gotten me. If he's yelling, why traumatize him more. Why does he have a fat lip? We will not return.

I've always loved coming here always so welcoming and caring but today I bring my 8 year old son in to get a tooth pulled and cavity filled. They gave him Novocain and he started crying and screamed ( he never had Novocain before) and the dentist said this is absolutely unacceptable you can not do that you are going to scare the other patients!! I am so upset that they talked to my child this way he is 8 years old and never had a shot in his mouth so of course he's going to scream!! Worst patient care ever!!!

Do not go here. Brought my 2 sons in and they said that my older son needed 8 cavities filled and 2 crowns. They also said the younger needed 2-4 cavities filled. I've heard stories about them doing unnecessary dental work so I sought a second opinion. The second opinion said that they hear this all the time with Somerset Dental. They wanted to put both my children under anesthesia which I felt was extreme. When I asked for their X-rays to take to the second opinion they avoided me and then said they didn't take X-rays. If they didn't take X-rays how do they know that he needed crowns? We have heard numerous people saying that they gave their children 4 -8 crowns and did very in depth dental work. I personally believe that they are lying about the number of cavities in children and will be calling the licensing board for an investigation. Do yourself a favor and stay out of there.

This place is great! The staff is absolutely wonderful! Gentle experience for all 5 of my children and my wife. They really listen to your concerns. Dr. Smatlack and Jade are such a great team, and the rest of the staff are always so professional. The office is so clean and nice too.

I never got to see the staff or doctors because they closed due to weather conditions which is understanding it was very bad but I guess a note on their office door was sufficient enough notice for their patients who had apt that day because I drove 30 minutes in the worst storm of the year to find out the offices were closed and I no longer had an apt.

When I had major damage to a front tooth, they were able to get an emergency appointment scheduled for me the very next day. I went in and they spent almost 2 hours working on my tooth...and it went so much better than I was expecting with no pain and my tooth looks better than it ever has! The price was also reasonable and I will definitely be coming back if I need more dental work done!

My 8yr. Old grandson had an appointment today for his 1st fillings and he was very nervous. They explained to him a 5 step process for the procedure, I could tell that that this explanation wasn't putting him at ease and I felt his anxiety. When they started with the 1st step (the nitrious oxide) I was escorted to a waiting area so the dentist could proceed. After about 10 minutes I could hear some talking with laughter from the dentist and my grandson, I felt at ease finally. Then a staff member came out to assure me that all was well and let me know that my grandson said he could do this all day and he was giving them a , assuring them all was well. When he was finished, he approached me smiling and said he can't wait until the next time. I want to thank the dentist and staff for the patience they have with children. They were great, I give them 10 stars and I recommend any parent or grandparent to go there with their children.
