Dr. Gianna Ferranti received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Siena College in 3.5 years, while playing on their Women's Division 1 soccer team. She is a proud graduate of SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ferranti completed a residency with the Hospital of Veterans Affairs, North Texas, and received her certification in sedation dentistry through Montefiore Medical Center. In addition, she is a premier preferred Invisalign provider. Dr. Ferranti has been practicing general dentistry since 2009.

Somers smiles has been a dental practice in the town of Somers for over 35 years. Dr. Ferranti took ownership in July 2017. She is well versed in all aspects of general dentistry, including; Cosmetics, Pediatrics, Endodontics (root canals), Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Oral Surgery. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the Ninth District Dental Association.

As the Practice Manager, she is responsible for maintaining the tone and culture of this amazing office. She works closely with Dr. Ferranti, as her second in command, striving to make her Somers Smiles goals a reality. She helps create and maintain an environment where patients feel their oral health is competently cared for, and where our staff can work collaboratively as a team toward the expansion and prosperity of the practice. Every member of our team has a voice. Jackie listens, and brings that voice to life. The best part of her job is watching each individual person in the practice work together to create the amazing practice environment we have today.

On a personal note, Dr. Ferranti is a native Long Islander who now resides in the wonderful town of Somers with her husband Eric and their four children: Cece, Derick, Frankie and Caleb. Since the age of 7 Dr. Ferranti has known her calling in life was to be a Dentist. She was a 'cavity kid' despite her best efforts. She spent many hours at the Dentist, ultimately laying the foundation for her career path. Dr. Ferranti values comprehensive dental care with a strong emphasis on preventative dentistry, so that small problems today don 't end up to be major issues tomorrow. She is committed to providing a positive and comfortable experience for all of her patients, even those who are apprehensive about their dental care. She is eager to make Somers Smiles a staple of the community, bringing world-class modern dentistry to residents of the area. Simply put, her goal is to change the perception of Dentistry.

When not in the office, Dr. Ferranti can be found always on the go attempting to carve time out to play in the Somers adult soccer league, hiking, snowboarding, touring the local food scene, running (after her kids) and spending time with her big Italian family.

Her favorite movie is 'The Goonies,' her favorite dessert is specifically Sweet Delights Lemon Cake and her favorite vacation spot is currently Disney. She would love to travel all over Europe one day (hint hint Eric). Her favorite part of the job is helping people feel good about going to the dentist, and helping people who haven't smiled in a while leave here with one.

Dr. Michelle Wesley attended Connecticut College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and graduated with honors while being a 3-season division III Track & Field and Cross-Country athlete. She is a proud graduate of the UConn School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a 2-year General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital / School of Dental Medicine, serving her final year as a Chief Resident. Dr. Wesley enjoys all aspects of comprehensive care, including; extractions, crowns, root canals and full mouth rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Dental Association and an Invisalign provider. Dr. Wesley's interest in dentistry started when she had her front tooth knocked out playing soccer in High School.

Dr. Wesley is originally from Millwood, NY and now lives in White Plains with her rescue dog Jasper, a German Shepherd, Husky, Great Pyrenes mix. She previously lived and worked in Rhode Island but decided to come back to NY because she missed her friends, family, and New York pizza and bagels.

When not in the office, Dr. Wesley enjoys playing soccer, baking (especially cookies), and running. She has run 3 marathons and 8 half-marathons. Dr. Wesley is a huge fan of Taylor Swift. Her favorite movies are When Harry Met Sally' and Gladiator', she loves all desserts and her favorite vacation spot is Turks & Caicos and Scotland. She would love to go on a Safari and see the Northern Lights. A fun fact about Dr. Wesley is she has a twin sister!

Her favorite part of her job is making a difference & giving people confidence in their smiles. Dr. Wesley is happy to be a part of the amazing team at Somers Smiles and to serve our great patients and immerse herself in the community.

Beth is one of our full time Hygienist here at Somers Smiles! She has been practicing hygiene since 1993. She retired in 2013 after working 20 years in Rye, and in 2015 she decided she loved practicing dental hygiene so much that she began working for Somers Smiles. She is laser and CPR certified. Beth keeps the hygiene department running smoothly and is the sole person responsible for keeping all of the plants alive here at the office!

In her personal life, Beth is married to her husband Michael and together they are kept busy by their son Robert and their 4 dogs; Lambo, Skyler, Daisy and Shelby. Beth grew up in Yonkers and now resides here in Somers. She went to Maria Regina High school and graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Beth's hobbies include snowboarding and gardening. Her favorite movie is The Blind Side' and her favorite dessert is apple crumb pie. Her go-to vacation spot is LBI and if she could travel anywhere, it would be to Alaska.

Jackie splits her time here at Somers Smiles between Practice Manager, as well as one of our Hygienists. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2008 and is certified in laser, CPR, Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. She enjoys seeing children and has a wonderful way with them. Her gentle touch definitely carries over for all you adults and phobic patients as well.

In her personal life, Jackie resides in Brewster with her boyfriend Rob, their two daughters; Jolie and Sunnie, and their shitzu Tilly. She grew up here in Somers and went to North Salem High School. She graduated from the University of New Haven with her bachelors in Dental Hygiene.

Jackie's hobbies include going to the gym, baking, crafting, gardening, spending time with family and being a mom! Her favorite movie is 'The Wizard of OZ,' and her favorite dessert is oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. If she could travel anywhere in the world, it would be Spain, but in the meantime, she loves to visit Puerto Rico.

Marie is one of our full time Hygienists here at Somers Smiles. She has been practicing hygiene for over 40 years. She is certified in laser, CPR, Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. Marie creates strong relationships with her patients and loves educating her patients on how to maintain a healthy smile. Marie is caring with all patients, making each visit comfortable.

Meghan is Dr. Ferranti's right hand woman! You can find her assisting Dr. Ferranti in making your visit as comfortable as possible. She helps the back of the office flow seamlessly. She graduated from the Ninth District dental assisting program and is CPR certified. She is a great conversationalist and has a knack for remembering people from just one interaction.

Meghan was born in the Bronx and graduated Somers High School in 2010. She currently resides in Brewster with her husband John and together they have a daughter Mia, a son John, and a black lab/border collie mix named Jasper.

Meghan's hobbies include hiking, spending time with family, trying new restaurants, and cooking all foods (even though she is a vegetarian). Her favorite movie is Sister Act' and her favorite dessert is ice cream with extra sprinkles. Her favorite place to vacation is Puerto Rico and if she could travel anywhere it would be to Japan.

Chelsea is a Dental Assistant here at Somers Smiles, since 2019. She works alongside Meghan in maintaining the efficiency of our ever-growing practice. She has a great way with patients, offering a listening ear, a knack for personal relations, and some quick wit sarcasm (when needed).

Chelsea grew up in Brewster, but currently resides in LaGrangeville with her fianc Steve and their two dogs; Bailey (German Shepherd) and Daisy (Black Lab/Coon Hound mix). She is currently taking classes at Orange County Community College. Her love for the dental field has her preparing for Hygiene school in the near future.

Chelsea 's hobbies include being outdoors, traveling in her RV, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite movie is '50 First Dates' and her favorite dessert is cake batter ice cream. Her favorite place to travel is Hawaii, and if she could travel anywhere it would be to Ireland.

Katie is a Dental Assistant here at Somers Smiles. You will see her assisting both Dr. Ferranti and Dr. Wesley. She has an incredible sense of humor and is usually the first to guess the music station correctly at the office.

Katie's hobbies include hiking, working out, and being an amazing mom. Her favorite movie is the Lion King and she loves all desserts. Her favorite place to vacation is the Outer Banks and if she could travel anywhere, it would be Hawaii.

Jennifer's hobbies include writing novels, drawing, hiking, and martial arts. Her favorite movie is The Lion King' and her favorite dessert is cheesecake. Her favorite place to vacation is somewhere with good hiking and if she could travel anywhere, it would be to Europe.

Lisa is our Front Desk Leader and Insurance Care Coordinator here at Somers Smiles. She handles all things insurance related, and she oversees all things within the schedule. Most importantly she maintains order and function throughout the office.

In her personal life, Lisa is married to her husband Ray and together they have 3 children; Ray, Lauren, Billy, a rescue puppy named Kai, and a cat named Chester. She grew up in Thornwood, graduated from Pace University and currently resides in Brewster, NY.

Lisa 's hobbies include reading, swimming, and going on walks with her dog. Her favorite movie is 'Gone with the Wind' and her favorite dessert is ice cream. Lisa and her family are BIG New York Yankees fans. Her favorite place to vacation is California, and if she could travel anywhere it would be Hawaii.

Susan is the Financial Coordinator here at Somers Smiles. Susan is a numbers girl and understands how to make your dental needs fit your budget. Whether it's big treatment or maintenance she is the person to speak with about all of your options including insurance preauthorization outcomes, Membership benefits, Senior discounts, Care credit options, or straight recurring payment plans. She can simplify what may seem challenging and walk you through with ease.

In her personal life Susan is married to her husband Tom and together they have 3 children, Erica, Stephanie, and Johnathan. She grew up in Irvington, NY and currently resides in North Salem. She attended Mercy College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Susan's hobbies include walking, shopping, and getting together with family and friends. Her favorite movie is Devil Wears Prada, and her favorite dessert is carrot cake. Susan loves to vacation everywhere and anywhere, and if she could travel anywhere it would be Greece.

Adriana is the Marketing Director and New Patient Care Coordinator here at Somers Smiles. You can find her at the front desk next to Lisa working on all things marketing. Adriana runs our social media pages, heads all the outreach and community service and handles all new patients.

Adriana 's hobbies include cooking, baking, shopping and hiking. Her favorite movie is 'The Great Gatsby' and her favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies. Her favorite place to vacation is Portugal and if she could travel anywhere it would be Croatia.
