Dr. Dowling completed her undergraduate work at Binghamton University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Dr. Dowling completed a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She then attended Maimonides Medical Center for her pediatric specialty training. While at Maimonides Dr. Dowling acted as chief resident of the dental department.
Dr. Dowling is a member of these professional organizations: the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Academy and the American Academy of Women Dentists. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
