Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will take digital x-rays of your teeth and explain to you whether or not you will require any dental treatment.
Dr. Alia Kalaf opened Solon Dental Excellence in 2005 and is dedicated to providing her patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. Our practice is located at 6165 Som Center Road, Solon, OH 44139, in the heart of Solon, where we serve patients throughout the greater Cuyahoga County area. We are easy to access by car and have our own parking lot for your convenience.

never in my life will I come back here I tell you my story, I haven't visited them for two months and they sent me a letter saying that I owe more than 500 after two months and the most beautiful thing of all is the second time that it happens to me please don't go if you don't want the same thing to happen to you

I started coming here a few weeks ago by referral from a family member. I've had a few services so far and every visit has been very pleasant! The receptionist Danielle is very welcoming and helpful, along with the office manager Rachel who was very understanding of my needs. Rachel also helped with an emergency situation that needed attention quickly and got me in a chair next day! Nicole, who helped me with a delicate procedure, was also very respectful and warming with her conversation to make me feel the most comfortable in what has been very uncomfortable in the past. I recommend Solon Dental Excellence to all family, friends and you!

I'm never going back. The practice is beyond sketchy with the "billing" that's non-existent (I've never seen an actual bill, or been sent one- only time I saw anything was when I ASKED to see this so called bill before paying them) and honestly when they told me how much my balance was once, without me ever receiving a bill... and then I asked for a printout and then they were scrambling to remove things and lower it before handing it to me, lol. Sketchy. Today was another terrible experience there. I went there to get a chipped tooth fixed, and they did not actually fix the tooth. They told me to schedule to come back. First available appt is next Friday. So they want to make more $$ because in the meantime, the problem will only get worse. The tooth will chip more and then that'll include a bigger payday for them because they will need to do more work on the tooth than initially stated. Mind you, I already took time off of work to go there this morning (and now I have work hours to make up). Now I'm going to do this again next Friday!? No. I don't think so. They then told me to schedule at the front, and they were thinking I was scheduling for work on four teeth- when I was NOT! I came in for one chipped tooth, which apparently has a cavity. I was under the impression that this would be taken care of today. I had to cancel a doctor's appointment and also come in to work late just to accomodate a visit to the dentist, which I NEVER would have done if I knew they weren't even fixing the problem today. What a waste of my time. Also, every time I go there, they ask me if they'll be doing my dental implants soon. How about you will NEVER be doing my implants! And I've been clear on that and am beyond sick of them asking me. So today, they did absolutely nothing to my mouth. I looked online a few minutes ago (on patient portal) and I owe $107 for today. Mind you- I asked about the cost of the xrays prior to Haley doing them. She said they were free. Well, according to the patient portal, they were not free. I am not paying them a dime. THEY ALSO MESSED UP MY ROOT CANAL 3 months ago, and it's still red and sore, and they actually made me pay for a mouthwash to fix the problem. Why the hell do I need to pay for the mistakes THEY MADE?! After careful consideration, I've decided I'm never going back there. They do the bare minimum and think they can get away with it. They scam patients and I don't know how they're still in business! I strongly urge you to reconsider going to this practice for your dental needs. I wish I read the reviews here before ever choosing them for my dental home. They also bribe patients to leave good reviews. They have drawings at the office that you can be entered into if you leave them a good review. I've NEVER seen this before. But it's kind of pathetic and sad. And I truly hope they don't try and reply to this review, because nothing will change my mind about them. I'm honestly horrified. And I will be taking necessary legal action, if need be, once I have the tooth they did the root canal and crown on examined by another dentist. The mistakes they make are NOT mine to pay for to be fixed. Ridiculous. Take your money elsewhere.

After the person cleaning my teeth a week ago broke my retainer, I was told that they would replace it if I come back with no out of pocket cost. The following week I came back and waited in the lobby for one hour, then they allow three Caucasian customers to go in front of me despite arriving to my appointment on time. I waited almost 2 hours just for them not to know what they were seeing me for while I sat in the dental chair. This isn't acceptable. DO NOT GO HERE

Honestly always hated going to the dentist but they made the whole experience enjoyable. Everyone is so nice and willing to answer any questions I had. I will be recommending them to anyone searching for a new dentist

The staff is very friendly, they treat you like a friend, and always answer all your questions. The waiting area is spacious and welcoming. I would definitely Recommend them.

I called today at 11am because I was in horrific pain from a failed filling that ultimately got an infection and rotted away. I had convinced myself that the tooth would need to come out...Well, they managed to get me in TODAY, and doc said the tooth was salvageable and started the root canal and crown process right away!! I didn't feel a thing and was impressed with how little time it took!! My things have changed!! The staff are all wonderfully sweet and so accommodating!! I am pretty sure I FINALLY found my dentists!! Thank you EVERYONE at Solon Dental Excellence! You truly are a cut above the rest!!

they do an unprofessional job you feel your teeth super sensitive they tell you before you leave come back if you need something if something happens come back but not later they surprise you with a surprise Bill I never come back

Vibrant office, didn't get names, "dental assistant" was very nice but the Doctor I can tell she's mean to her staff, after being placed in room for treatment she went over X-ray she paused and asked if I gave my insurance as if I just walked in the procedure room without checking in, it made me feel it was about money and not actual treatment! I had many filling and never experienced pain during a filling, for some reason being I had to pause 3 times for more numbing treatment after the 4th I sucked it up butter cup, because I was ready to run out that office! I can tell the dentist was irritated with me and blamed me for being nervous and having tightened muscles! I stated I was not nervous because I had many filling, and is only really uptight with the first needle for Numbing!!! Now I'm afraid of dental appointments!!!!!! And my right side of my face is super numb now, not sure if it's the brand of the local anesthesia but I felt that nerve pain with every scrape and air pressure :(
