Dr. Andrew Softley graduated from the University of California San Francisco Dental School in 1996 with honors. Prior to that he received his Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of California San Diego, and was a professional computer programmer.
In addition to being his class representative to the American Association of Dental Schools, Dr. Softley received the following awards: Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, American College of Dentists Senior Student Award, Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award, California Dental Association Senior Student Award, UCSF Prosthodontics Highest Ranked Student
His greatest professional enjoyment is restoring, or improving a patient's smile, boosting their self-confidence, and self-image. In his spare time, Dr. Softley enjoys traveling on dental mission trips, photography, sailing his Goat Island Skiff, a bit of singing and acting, and spending time with his family.

He is a very skilled dentist. I do not have a high tolerance for dental pain and he was able to perform the work without pain. His staff is also skilled and very friendly. His services are also reasonably priced.

Dr Softley is the most skilled dentist I have ever encountered. First, he is painless. Today I presented with a crown broken off. Actually, the tooth snapped off under the crown. He explained several costly approaches, but we settled on a very clever fix. I could not be happier. Painlessly he managed to reattach the crown in mechanically sound means, and I was up and away in an hour. It was inexpensive, too. My wife and I have enjoyed his services since we moved here in 2013. Friendly staff and dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Softley for over 11 years. It would be longer if I lived in California sooner. That alone speaks volumes about how much respect, excellent dental care and professionalism this office represents. I first met Dr Softly in 2009 when I had moved to San Diego and had some extreme pain and needed a tooth removed. I lucked up and found him by driving by his old dentist office (School House Dental) and he actually came in on a Sunday to help me because he could hear the pain I was in. Even after he did the tooth removal he checked in on me, that spoke volumes on the type of person he is and the type of business he was conducting. From that day forward myself and my son trusted only Dr. Softly with our dental needs until we moved. Moral of story if you want a good dentist who will provide you with great customer service you should try them out. I no longer live in the area otherwise I would still be utilizing his services!
