Our first time here today, introduction appointment. We walk in and I was told I needed a mask (which I don't mind wearing one) which I replied I didn't have one. Debrah at the front desk told me I needed to pay $2 for a mask. What? If you're going to require people to wear masks, provide them. According to a quick google search among many websites, it costs 1 cent to make a mask. You're telling me I need to pay $2 for a 1 cent mask? The attitude with reception was beyond rude, had me and my three year old, and my infant wait outside in the cold. I respectfully told them I will be switching dental offices, I can't imagine what they charge for simple check ups, this place probably has $10 toothbrushes, $8 for a teaspoon of toothpaste, $25 for a string of floss. COVID has been lifted for a fat minute, the fact they're milking $2 out of patients for a mask and using the pandemic to do so. Say 20 people a day pay the $2, that's $40 x 5 days a week = $200. $800 a month in masks? Where the hell is that money going? If you're an existing patient I'd challenge each charge and ask for itemized bills. These people are out for $$, and I won't be bringing my children here.

The MOST unprofessional dentist office I've ever dealt with in my life! They are so unorganized and unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment for my son there TWICE, both times, got there and didn't have any appointment on file, even after confirming the appointment with calls before the appointments. Please save yourself the time, gas, money and peace of mind by never taking your child or Going to this dentist office. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB. They should not be able to operate because of how unprofessional they are!!!!

this place is so unprofessional, i brought my brother to get his silver crown removed easy process right. I was expected to be here at 9:00 am i got here 8:50 it took them 30 minutes to check me in and to call him back. After that they put us in a room and made us sit there to wait for 2 plus hours just for the nurse to come back and say "we didn't have anything on the planner for your brother" when she was the same nurse that gave us the appointment. DONT COME HERE they make you waste your time!!!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

NEVER NEVER take your kids here! They never answer the phone, took me five months of trying to schedule a six month cleaning. Ended up changing to a new office. The real trouble started when I started asking for my kids dental records. After three weeks of requesting them to be emailed, they finally did but non of the records have dates. This was stated by my new dentist office. I when in to soft palate requesting a physical copy, and they ended up threatening to call the cops on me. I don't understand why it is so hard for them to produce medical records! Save your self the trouble and find a better office that can professionally run a business!!! I would give this place a negative star if that was an option.

I took my three kids here. 16, 5 & 2. My 5-year-old has a lot of work that needs to be done. They made everyone feel totally comfortable and at ease! Everyone was very nice & gentle. It was a great first dentist appointment for my two youngest!

The one time I took my child to this location, we had a great experience! The staff and DDS were friendly and pleasant and the check up went well. I've been trying for WEEKS and it is impossible to get anyone to answer the phone, or returns calls when you leave a voice-mail, so I guess we won't be back.

I'm not impressed with this dentistry. CSB referred my son, that has special needs here, and we have been on a waiting list for the OR for almost two years. I realize his level of functioning, insurance, the need for sedation, not to mention delays due to covid can be very challenging, but I'm bothered by the no communication after leaving several messages. Is it too far of a stretch to get a response as to the status, or requests to return phones calls to get updates?

After 2 years I will be finding a new dentist for my children. They never, and I mean NEVER pick the phone up.. I have an emergency with my childs tooth and for the life of me and after countless voice-mails, I still have yet to have a phone call answered or called back. FOR AN EMERGENCY! Absolutely insane.. I work in Healthcare and I wouldn't be caught dead with a patient in this situation. The front desk : Absolutely rude and unprofessional. When I finally got a hold of someone after a month of calling, she hung up on me at the end of the phone call. This is the worst managed place I have ever encountered.

This pediatric dentist has HORRIBLE customer service. They never pick up the phone they purposely leave their phone off the hook to not answer calls and they don't inform you that parents must wear a mask at the appt. I have no problem wearing a mask but they don't tell you this prior and make you PAY to get a mask and if you don't want to buy one which they should give you for free they will make you miss your child's appt. Their play area is also EXTREMELY DIRTY which is unsanitary for a dentists office. Do not go here.

The dentist is great "IF" you can actually secure an appointment! They NEVER answer the phone! Try it right now and see. And when you do get someone the front desk customer service is soooo unprofessional. I was told they would call me back with an appointment. I thought that was strange but, I try to be understanding because I am a small business owner and know things can get busy. But they NEVER called back. I have given up. I just will request my medical records and go to a more reliable business. It sucks because the dentist herself is great and my son liked her. It's her responsibility to make sure her staff represents her business properly.

Do not accept a position with this practice. I was unfortunate enough to do so. I have yet to be paid for the time I worked there despite being given the run around for the last 3 weeks. I was thrown into the position with zero experience and zero training and expected to just deal with it. Since I left the job I have been ignored, called unprofessional, according to her she called the police on me for "threats" (the only "threat" was to call an attorney) and now after telling me to let her know if I haven't received my check by next Friday, she has blocked my number. This is the dentist! All of her staff are new and no one knows what they're doing she's too concerned with squeezing as many patients in per day much to the annoyance of those that have to wait forever in the waiting room. Don't blame her staff, the running of this practice is 100% on the dentists shoulders and she does it poorly at best.

There are better options available. Front desk staff is very incompetent! I called and scheduled an appointment for my son. We confirmed the appointment with the receptionist several times before hanging up. We showed up on the day of the appointment 15 minutes early for our 10:30 appointment. After about 20 minutes (10:50) after our scheduled appointment time, we were told we would be seen late because we were late for the appointment. We explained that we were not late. After some back and forth we let it go as they said we would be seen at 11:00. When I was asked to sign some documents at 11:15, I realized they signed us in under the wrong name. After noticing their error, they then went into the system stating that we never made an appointment. After showing them the call and exclaiming we did, they decided to see us but over an hour after our appointment time. The topping on the cake was they tried to charge us more than the original qoute that was given a few weeks back. After getting everything squared away, I asked if everything would be completed by 12:30 as I have other obligations today, they assured me I would. I wasn't able to leave until 12:40, as they were delayed. DO NOT USE THEM. They are very unprofessional! I wish I can could give no stars!

This place is unorganized and the people are rude! I waited 2 hours after my appointment to even be seen. They kept giving me excuses as to what the reason for the wait was. Finally I just gave up and left. No ne asked or informed me of Nothing!

They are great with kids but their customer service ends there. They are constantly running behind. Hygienists show up late for scheduled appts and they leave when they obviously have overbooked patients. Multiple times we've been here for over an hour when we're here for simple cleanings. They don't go back to the chairs until you've been waiting at least 30 minutes past your appt time. I've watched them skip over my children waiting in the chair for another child that was brought back 45 minutes after us. I let them know our last visit that we had an appt an hour half after our scheduled time. I checked multiple times on my kids and could see them just laying in the cleaning chair with no one attending them waiting and waiting. I was told multiple times they were next for the dentist and nothing. They do not respect your time. If you do not want to spend your day at the dentist I don't recommend their care.

This place is extremely unprofessional and outdated. On 4/20/2022, I called at 2:44pm to request my daughter's records (chart notes and X-rays) to be sent over to a different dental practice and I gave them the dental office's email and fax number. The person who answered the call told me that that I would need to come by the office to show my ID in order to obtain the chart notes and X-Rays. I came to Soft Palate Dentistry with my child on 4/22/2022 at 12:30pm and presented my ID. I told them that I had previously called and was told I can show my ID to have the records sent to the new dental practice. The woman at the front desk stated that I can only have the X-rays and that there are no chart notes. I asked if there were any documents that detail the previous visits and she stated that the doctor has a policy that they don't share the chart notes. I told the receptionist that I needed all of my child's records because it was requested by her new dental practice. The receptionist stated she would ask the doctor about getting the chart notes. I waited for 40 minutes and was finally handed a copy of the X-Rays printed on regular copy paper. I asked could I also have the chart notes, as the receptionist mentioned earlier that she was going to ask the doctor. Dr. Collins approaches the front desk and states that all I need are the X-rays. I told Dr. Collins that the new dental office specifically mentioned the chart notes. Dr. Collins states that they do not give that out and by law she is only required to hand over the X-Rays. I called the new dental practice while standing there to confirm this and the new practice stated that they could not take the X-Rays on paper as it is hard to read an X-Ray printed on an incorrect medium. I told this information to Dr. Collins and she states to me that they are very busy and do not have for this. I told her I understand but I am also here needing assistance as well. She states that the office can just do their own X-Rays. I tell her that I understand that, but my daughter last had X-Rays one month ago today, so there is no need for unnecessary X-rays since she just had them completed and her insurance would charge us for having them done AGAIN. Dr. Collins refused to give me my child's medical records and tell the receptionist to walk away so that they can see another patient. She and her assistant walk away as I am talking mid-sentence. I say to them "you are walking away as I am speaking to you regarding my child's records." Dr. Collins then rushes back to the front desk and states that I will not get the records and she will call the authorities next. I am shocked that she would even consider calling the police when I was only asking for my child's records. At that point, I left because it was all very unprofessional. I am not sure why Dr. Collins refused to share my daughter's medical records with me or the other dental office. I have a right to know what is going on with my child's medical care and a right to have access to that information. I do not understand why there would be no chart notes/office visit notes when my child has had 3 visits there. I have filed a formal complaint with the VA Board of Dentistry/Dept of Health Professions as she is breaking the law by not releasing my child's full medical records. Also its 2022, why would a medical office with electronic records, not be able to fax or email the records to a different medical office? Makes no sense, unless she is not actually completing chart notes or sending false information to the insurance companies.

Unfortunately, we had an appointment (for stablished six months ago) and when we showed up for the appointment today, the building was locked. No one bothered to call or email regarding this closing. There were other families arriving expecting an appointment as well. We were all disappointed and dumbfounded by this. This was only our second visit to this practice and the first one wasn't the best but I was willing to give it another try. However, I now realize that this practice has a history of lack of professionalism and lack of customer service. I would not recommend this practice and I will be transferring my business to another pediatric practice.
