READ OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS FIRST BEFORE CHOOSING THIS PRACTICE. I wish I had. If I could give this practice 0 stars I would. Their billing is so convoluted, and their business practices so inappropriate. GET ALL ORTHODONTIST AGREEMENTS IN AN OFFICIAL DOCUMENT BEFORE STARTING--INCLUDING WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL (That's a little upcharge they will tell you is a necessary preventative measure. Preventative to what you might ask. The answer: to avoid the possibility of needing to remove them in the future.) Nothing about the process has gone as I was told it would. Call to ask for assistance understanding, and you will get laughed at. I cannot wait until this nightmare is over.

Be careful this place will overcharge you. They tried to scam me years ago then called me begging me to remove the one-star review. Read all the one star reviews before going. Looks like these recent reviews are fake! How can all the reviews be 5-star and the rest one-star?!? Check out their reviews on Yelp!

I know, I'm spoiled. But once you experience a good dentist's office, it's hard to see mediocrity (especially when it's overpriced) as good. My previous dentist remembered me (my name, a few things about my life), had coffee, espresso, water, tea, and juice in the waiting area, always sent you home with mouthwash and toothpaste, patiently explained reasoning for procedures, followed sterile protocols (seems like an obvious, foregone conclusion, but it would seem not so here), and just a bunch of other little things that made it VERY clear that the patient's comfort was a big priority - stuff like providing sunglasses for the overhead exam light, suction and bite guard maintenance during procedure, blankets if you're cold during a procedure, and not being careless with the rougher parts of dentistry (always warned beforehand). This place doesn't really care about any of that, has "special" procedures that another dentist would call fillings so that they can charge more than a crown's cost for it, and really REALLY don't care about hygiene (e.g. typing on the keyboard, then the hands go right in my mouth, then back to the keyboard - same gloves. Who else's mouth gunk is on that keyboard!?). Side note: They also left several screens with patient names, emails, and phone numbers up for me to peruse while sitting in the exam chair. Nice. If you don't mind overpaying, you don't need much beyond maintenance/cleaning, and you think germ theory is hogwash, this is the place for you.

After almost 14 years being a patient at SOFI dental I was surprised but the horrible service. There must have been a change in ownership or they simply don't care any more. The hygienist chipped two teeth and was extremely aggressive. I asked for Dr. Amini to check the damage and they left me waiting... not once but three appointments. Unfortunately, after years recommending many friends and family members to go there I must say: STAY AWAY.
