Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. What an amazing experience. Coming from one who is definitely afraid to go to the dentist for nearly 20 years I must say they have restored my faith in this practice. Not only have they done an incredible job to my smile. Jay my dental hygienist was amazingly delicate as well as making feel very comfortable when I was in the chair. I want to say thank you to their whole team as from the moment I walked in till the moment I left it was a really cool experience. So thank you so much and I look forward to my next cleaning.

I will never come back to this place. They left me in a room to wait for the scheduler who was useless. Please don't come here run they will over charge you and forget you exist once they get your money. They left me in pain and to get my tooth extracted 4000. That's with insurance by the way if you have a extra 4000 then go for it

If you don't want to get hit with a $443 bill two years after going to a dentist one time DO NOT go here. I went to Sodo Smiles two years ago and I've regretted it ever since. They didn't bill my insurance for months after I went there, and they've been calling me asking for money I don't owe them ever since. They asked me to call my insurance to verify I didn't have two forms of insurance at the time of my service then never responded to my email sending them the reference number that my insurance gave me. Last week I received a bill for $443 with no explanation. They've ignored my email attempts to reach out to get this resolved as well. This place is super sketchy, definitely stay away it at all possible.

The professionalism is extraordinary, Dr. Miller and his team Roberto were exceptional . Worked really fast and with accurate diagnostic, always explained to me what the job they were doing, and always cared how I was feeling. They really care about the patients and present options for treatments based on your possibilities. Highly recommended.

-5 stars. Waste of time.All they do is patient chargeable bills. X-rays and more X-rays. Then come up with a $$$$$$ plan with no regular cleaning option unless you give them money out of pocket to cover the expensive made up treatment. Even with a good insurance. A hoax. Waste of time. It seems this is the new norm around in dentist offices. Get out of business.

I had my first appointment at SoDo Smiles Dentistry. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous as most people are when they go to the dentist. My experience was unbelievable!! Val checked me in, she has a beautiful smile and I love her pink hair!! Dr. Miller came out introduced himself and then Roberto took me in for X-rays. He helped me calm my nerves down and got me all set up in the best room with gorgeous views (ask for Room 1). Dr. Miller walked in examined my X-rays and my teeth. Of course, he didn't "sugar coat" anything and told me I had good oral hygiene, Yay!! Then this hygienist, Jey walks in with Salena to do some probing. My favorite thing EVER, NOT!! Jey probed away and I think I asked about 55 and a half questions. He was extremely knowledgeable really knew what he was doing. If he didn't have the answer he researched it and told me his findings. High energy, positive staff and the atmosphere in the practice. Everyone worked as a team to take care of me and other patients. The team knows what they are doing in this office. I'll definitely be coming back here. Thank you Dr. Miller, Roberto, Jey, Salena, Val and Derek!

Update- since this posting the office has apologized and will assist me with obtaining antibiotics, ibuprofen, and an appointment with the specialist to see what my treatment options are. Thank you Selena I needed emergency treatment for a severely painful tooth the night before the hurricane. I found this place and was scheduled for the same day. I instantly fell in love with the location & staff. Unfortunately, Dr. Miller wanted to save the tooth and I did not. I was given 1 option only to have a root canal and have a crown put in for a grand total of 2,400, not even for the same week. I was expected to stay in such severe pain that my ear, jaw, tooth, and temple were throbbing as one. I wasn't even given the pain blocker he offered. I spent the hurricane in the dark with half of my palate swollen and infected and no remedy. I'm treating myself to keep the pain at a minimum. So, if you can't afford it they can't help you. Sadly, I am dissatisfied with the service. Felt disheartened to know if you can't afford their recommended treatment then don't waste their time or yours. Humanity has gone to hell when even a dental provider will deny you treatment based on your ability to pay.
