Dr. Sandra Yen is a board-certified Orthodontist who loves being in the profession of creating beautiful smiles. She strives to provide quality care while shaping positive experiences for each and every patient, no matter their age. Every smile transformation is unique, and Dr. Sandra hopes that every patient enjoys their journey!
Dr. Yen has been moving up and down the California coast for much of her life. She grew up in southern California, and she moved up to the Bay Area to attend Stanford University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with honors. She then headed back to SoCal and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA. Dr. Sandra graduated in the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilonnationaldentalhonor society. Following dental school, she completed her Orthodontics residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, the university hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Together with her husband, Dr. Sandra has fallen in love with everything Sonoma County has to offer and they have decided to settle down locally. They recently welcomed their baby girl into the world. In her free time, Dr. Sandra loves running, working out, hiking, trying new restaurants, playing with her beloved chihuahua rescue, and of course enjoying every moment she can with her new baby.
Our office utilizes a variety of new, yet proven, orthodontic technology. Our state-of-the-art digital scanner eliminates the need for those messy impressions, while our digital CBCT imaging system captures the highest quality 3D images of your face and jaw. After orthodontic care is complete, we can use our specialized dental laser to perfect your gums. From traditional metal brackets, to tooth-colored braces, to Invisalign clear aligners, we offer plenty of options to fit our patients active lifestyles.
We believe in educating our team. We often attend continuing education seminars to keep learning. Our team consists of the orthodontic assistants, patient care coordinators and our doctor. This highly skilled team performs many detailed and technical procedures to aid our orthodontist in achieving the perfect smile result.
We want you to feel like you are a part of our dental family. We will do everything we can to treat you as such. We want tomakeyou feel welcome and comfortable. During your time with us, we will see you an average of every six to eight weeks, so we will become quite close. We love to get to know our patients, their families, and each other! It is our goal that you will become part of our dental family and always feel like you can stop by to say hi!

My daughter went for a panoramic for her teeth to see if she needed braces. The people that work there are great and very patient with her. We are glad to have such a great dentist!

My son is always at ease and feels very comfortable going in without a parent . He says they do a good job . So I consider it a win. My only suggestion would be that they make the time to call and tell the parent the care for instructions since were not allowed in the office.

Dr. Ray is wonderful! I chose Invisalign with him and it has been a great experience. He makes me feel heard and makes sure I am involved in my treatment to get the results he and I both want. Highly recommend!

We love Dr. Ray and the whole team at SoCo Dental Specialty Group. They are friendly, welcoming, competent and kind. My son is in the spectrum and has sensory issues and they have been absolutely great with him and gracious to us! I highly recommend them!

We switched to Dr. Sahouria because of her skill and patience working with my son who has special needs. We now bring my daughter to her as well because Dr. Sahouria is easy to communicate with, thorough, thoughful and her staff is welcoming, helpful and caring.
