Steven J Sober DMD was established as a business in October of 1985. We've been at the same location in Winter Garden ever since. We're convieniently located in the Windtree Professional Center directly behind the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Highway 50. There is parking available in both the front and the rear of the building.
We've enjoyed serving all the surrounding communities on the West side of Orlando including Lake county residents as well. We have always tried to put our emphasis on the quality of your dental work, so that your hard earned dental investment will give you long lasting service and preserve your dental health for years to come.
Modern technology, regular training, and an eye on current developments in dentistry research: we do everything to ensure your teeth get expert treatment. Our relaxed atmosphere and friendly service go hand in hand, a quality that's sometimes hard to find in today's rushed society.
Marcia has been a part of our practice off and on since its inception 35 years ago. She has been married to Dr. Sober for 42 years, and has worked to help build and sustain the practice throughout the years.
Marcias history in the dental office goes a long way back. She began her experience working for her dentist father while still in junior high school. She worked as his chair-side assistant until high school graduation, and then went on to Pensacola Jr. College to obtain a degree in dental hygiene. She worked as a hygienist in Williston, Florida before deciding to go back to college at the University of Florida, earning a bachelors degree in elementary education in 1984. However, before getting a chance to start her teaching career, she unselfishly began working as a chair-side assistant to Dr. Sober as he began his career in Sanford, Florida. After leaving Sanford in 1985, Dr. Sober began his solo practice in its current location in Winter Garden, and Marcia took on the multitasking role as chair-side assistant, receptionist, bookkeeper, and all around office helper wherever she was needed. Through the years that followed, Marcia has returned to the office from time to time whenever she was needed.
Currently, Marcia works full time as a chair-side assistant, helping Dr. Sober with direct patient care. She maintains the treatment areas, setting up instruments and supplies for each procedure. In addition, she cleans up the units, sterilizes instruments to be ready for the next patient, and handles other miscellaneous tasks as they come along.
