Born in Chicago, IL, Dr. Marcia Harrer Sobek moved to Scottsdale, AZ at the young age of seven. Her childhood dream was to become a well-regarded dentist in her community, inspired by her childhood dentist. She attended Scottsdale High School, received her undergraduate degree at The University of Arizona, and attended dental school at the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed a residency in hospital dentistry at Northwestern University in Chicago. With her dental course-work completed, she was happy to move back to Arizona to establish herself in private practice.

Dr. Harrer Sobek focuses on family and cosmetic dentistry and accommodates patients of all ages and needs. Her office provides routine preventive cleanings and examinations, restorative dentistry including implant restoration, and complete cosmetic treatments.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association and its component societies, the Seattle Study Club, the Scottsdale-Paradise Valley Study Club, the Junior League of Phoenix, Boys Team Charity, and National Charity League. She and her team also enjoy providing dental services to the community, including their annual participation in the Arizona Mission of Mercy event.

Christina has been a registered dental hygienist for over 32 years. She is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene. Originally from Cupertino, California, Christina moved to Scottsdale in July of 1998. She has treated patients with Dr. Sobek since October of 1998. Her favorite part of working with Dr. Sobek is treating and educating patients. She has been married to her husband John for 30 years with two adult children, Nicole who is married and works for Fox Sports and Andrew who is a college student. Christina is involved in philanthropic work with a ladies organization at church. Away from the office, she spends time with family and friends. Her family loves to spend vacations on the coast of California.

Lani completed the dental assisting program at Phoenix College. Lani and Dr. Sobek have been working together as a team since 1992. Taking pride in her work, Lani enjoys helping patients on their dental journey. Outside work, Lani and her husband enjoy going to movies, travelling and cheering on the Arizona Cardinals.

Ranyika is originally from Livingston, NJ. She went to school at UMDNJ in Newark , NJ to become a Dental Hygienist and moved here to Scottsdale in 2001. She has been with Dr. Sobek since 2006. She loves what she does as well as doing volunteer work for AZMOM, National Charity League, and St Vincent DePaul. She has 3 children and enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time she teaches Pilates and loves to hike. On her days off she enjoys going to concerts and festivals.

Marisa comes to us from sunny Southern California with 7 years of experience as a registered dental hygienist. She graduated from University California Santa Barbara. Marisa joined our team in 2017 when she and her husband relocated to AZ. She and her husband have a dog, Cash. Marisa is also a CrossFit trainer and enjoys working out and shopping. Her favorite thing in Arizona are the sunsets and on free weekends she likes to travel. She values patient education and is passionate about helping people feel confident in their smile.

Lupita joined our office in 2019, she finished dental assisting school in 2017 . She is a natural chair side assistant, with a passionfor dentistry and helping others. When not assisting she goes back to her hometown in Yuma, Az and spends quality time with family and friends. Some of her favorite things are hiking, bike riding, and trying out new restaurants. We are thrilled to have Lupita on our team.

Allison has been working with Dr. Sobek every school break since her senior year of high school. She graduated from ASU's honor college in 2019 with a degree in Speech and Hearing Science. She will be going to dental school in the fall of 2020 at the University of California San Francisco, Dr. Sobek's alma mater. In her spare time Allison enjoys hiking and rock climbing.

Misty joined our team in September 2020 and is excited to welcome and assist you at the front desk! She has been in the dental field for over 13 years, starting as a dental assistant and later moving into a front office role. The most rewarding thing about dental for Misty is helping patients feel comfortable and confident with their smiles! Outside of work, she spends time with her two fur babies, Bentley and Bugatti, exploring Arizona.

Tammy started with us October 2020. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2008. She is a graduate from Rio Salado School of Dental Hygiene. She has been in Dentistry since 1994 starting as a Dental Assistant. She moved here from Illinois in 1997. In her spare time, she likes to travel and hike. She is compassionate Hygienist who takes pride in building a rapport with her patients. We are excited to have her as part of our team.
