Dr. Maria Escoto, D.D.S., is a cosmetic dentist and one of an elite group of female doctors in South Florida specialized in Neuromuscular Dentistry. She is a founding partner in SoBe Dentist, a boutique Cosmetic Dentist Practice on Miami Beach. Dr. Escotos vast experience in both cosmetic and general dentistry allows her to offer a unique perspective on a number of dental issues, including neuromuscular problems, periodontal disease, oral cancer, tooth erosion or decay, and an unattractive smile.
Dr. Escoto began her career in 1995 when she worked as an associate at a busy, general dentistry practice in Miami Beach. In 2002, Dr. Escoto and Dr. Alberto Mantovani joined forces and started SoBe Dentist. Their office is one of the most successful practices on beautiful Miami Beach and has been in the same location for over 20 years.
Dr. Escoto graduated from dental school in both her native Dominican Republic and from New York Universitys (NYU) College of Dentistry. She interned at the oldest public hospital in the U.S., Bellevue Hospital Center, in geriatric care. In an effort to continually excel, Dr. Escoto attended the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) of Advanced Dental Studies, where she completed the LVI curriculum in neuromuscular dentistry. She is amongst the 5% of dentists trained in cosmetic dentistry in the U.S.
Every year, she donates her services to help restore the smiles on a number of underprivileged patients for free. Their practice also focuses on continually seeking out opportunities to study with professionals from around the world. Dr. Escoto has an engaging presence, is fluent in both English and Spanish, and has been quoted or appeared a number of times in the media. Dr. Escoto is licensed in Florida and the North East Regional Board.

Had a tooth chip during vacation and they got back to me asap and squeezed me in to fix it. I'm super appreciative!! Plus they gave me invaluable advice on how to prevent that from happening again. The doctor is super knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.

Thanks to Drs. Escoto and Mantovani, my vacation wasn't ruined. One of my teeth cracked in half and the office was able to fix it the same day. The office is clean and the equipment is up to date. The dentists are both skilled and personable.

I have seen both dentists in this practice, over several years. Most recently Dr Escoto. She is a lovely person, clearly concerned about her patient's welfare. Also has top notch training at NYU, and advanced training in the treatment of sleep apnea as well as general dentistry. The dental appliance that she had made for me was comfortable and generally solved the problem without the hassle and discomfort of CPAP. I'm very appreciative of that. About her fees, versus other dentists: You get what you pay for. Considering Doctor Escoto's training, experience, and expertise, her services are an outstanding value.

As we live in the world of reviews, I would be remiss if I did not leave a 5 star review for SOBE Dentist. After years of avoiding the dentist, and I do mean years, I was walking past SOBE Dentist on my way for coffee one random day and decided to stop in on a whim. They invited me and and very graciously set up an appointment for me. EZ PZ. I went to the appointment and was so impressed with the doctors and staff I wondered to myself why I had stayed away from dentists! I have since had my routine cleanings, Invisalign, necessary repairs, and general oral health care work completed by the quick and friendly staff at SOBE Dentist. I even got a Christmas card from them! They care. They are easy to work with. They make the procedures as painless as possible. They explain things. They make going to the dentist easy. If you need a dentist - check these folks out, you won't regret it.

Dr. Montovani and Dr. Escoto have been my dentists for 14 years. They are extraordinary and have solved every single issue I have ever had with my teeth! Everyone at the office is courteous, professional and organized. I would highly recommend SobeDentist!

I have severe anxiety. But in the hands of Doctors Maldovani and Escoto I know I am in the best hands that I can possibly be. They are so understanding, patient and compassionate. They genuinely want the treatment that is best for you and have your best interest at mind with everything they do. I even moved 3 hours away and still travel to come see them for all my dental needs because I know I am in good hands. You don't get this feeling anywhere.
