Dr. Maria Escoto, D.D.S., is a cosmetic dentist and one of an elite group of female doctors in South Florida specialized in Neuromuscular Dentistry. She is a founding partner in SoBe Dentist, a boutique Cosmetic Dentist Practice on Miami Beach. Dr. Escotos vast experience in both cosmetic and general dentistry allows her to offer a unique perspective on a number of dental issues, including neuromuscular problems, periodontal disease, oral cancer, tooth erosion or decay, and an unattractive smile.
Dr. Escoto began her career in 1995 when she worked as an associate at a busy, general dentistry practice in Miami Beach. In 2002, Dr. Escoto and Dr. Alberto Mantovani joined forces and started SoBe Dentist. Their office is one of the most successful practices on beautiful Miami Beach and has been in the same location for over 20 years.
Dr. Escoto graduated from dental school in both her native Dominican Republic and from New York Universitys (NYU) College of Dentistry. She interned at the oldest public hospital in the U.S., Bellevue Hospital Center, in geriatric care. In an effort to continually excel, Dr. Escoto attended the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) of Advanced Dental Studies, where she completed the LVI curriculum in neuromuscular dentistry. She is amongst the 5% of dentists trained in cosmetic dentistry in the U.S.
Every year, she donates her services to help restore the smiles on a number of underprivileged patients for free. Their practice also focuses on continually seeking out opportunities to study with professionals from around the world. Dr. Escoto has an engaging presence, is fluent in both English and Spanish, and has been quoted or appeared a number of times in the media. Dr. Escoto is licensed in Florida and the North East Regional Board.
