Dr. Randall Sobczak, DDS, FAGD, of Sobczak Wencel Bothell Dentistry, worked as a hospital dentist for The Department of Veterans Affairs for 12 years. He was involved in teaching students and residents and was a Principal Investigator for two-implant research projects.
We are fortunate to have an excellent team of friendly, fun, and caring dentist staff members. All the members of our practice work hard to foster a positive environment and a strong sense of teamwork and approachability.
Monica is our knowledgeable front office everything. She joined our dentist staff in 2009 and is our resident expert at helping our patients with scheduling, finances, insurance and treatment plan questions. Please come to her with any questions you have.
Jen is our part-time front office right hand. She has over 8 years of dental experience and joined our team in 2018. She enjoys getting to know each patient and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
We know her for her patience, knowledge and helpful attitude in our back office. She can help you with any questions about treatment, such as the number of visits needed and information on the materials we use.
Chrisis our fulltime dental hygienist. She graduated from Eastern Washington University and the following year married her college sweetheart. They have two children and a sun conure parrot named Suni.
Her mission is to partner with patients to keep their teeth healthier for a lifetime! She has been with our practice since 2011 and keeps current with the most recent innovations in dentistry. The knowledge and skills she has acquired allows her to educate patients on many different topics, such as periodontal therapy, nutrition counseling, and the mouth-body connection.

My family and I have been patients at Sobczak Wencel Dentistry for more than 20 years. We have always found the office to be of the highest professional standards. The office is fresh and modern, utilizing state of the art equipment and procedures. The staff, from the receptionists and hygienists, to the doctors themselves, have always gone out of their way to make us feel valued. It is refreshing to visit a practice where everyone is on a first name basis. In these time of "covid consciousness", we feel safe every time we visit.

***This office is NOT FOLLOWING COVID-19 guidelines. Do not go here.*** I recently visited twice over a couple weeks (my appointment was split up). On my visit yesterday, the entire office came to sing happy birthday to my hygienist. Harmless enough...except Dr. Sobczak was there - with NO MASK ON - singing. SINGING. And guess who else didn't have a mask on? Me - because I was in the chair for my cleaning. So that's cool--nothing like someone singing unmasked at you in the middle of a pandemic. So, needless to say, I'll never be returning to this dentist and I'd advise others against it as well. If that weren't bad enough, this isn't even the only time I saw staff without masks during my mere 2 hours in this office. The front desk employee had her mask off and almost came to talk to me with it off when I arrived to check in. Additionally, Dr. Sobczak removed his mask to greet me. Why? No clue. If the Doctor whose name is on the building is acting this way and allowing his staff to act this way in front of patients, I don't even want to know what else is going on behind the scenes. Steer clear. **Update: As you see from the Owner's reply (Dr. Wencel), they didn't address (let alone apologize) for the disregard for patient health that Dr. Sobczak showed when he sang, unmasked and in my direction, during my cleaning (when I too was unmasked). Instead, she defended her staff and partner being unmasked inside their office and belittled me by pointing out things I "may not have noticed" (which I did). Face shields are not replacements for masks (according to the CDC), and NO MASK being worn, not to mention around an unmasked patient, is 100% unacceptable. I think their reply speaks for itself. If you want to be in a place that doesn't take your health and safety seriously and where the owners are defensive when presented with issues at their practice, then this is the place for you.

I have been a patient of Sobczak Wencel Dentistry for over 14 years and have found the entire office and staff to be extremely professional, thorough, and caring. In addition, they have implemented comprehensive safety protocols to ensure their patient and staff's safety. I feel completely safe and know that they are looking out for my best interest every time I go there. I highly recommend them!!

I have been going to Sobczak-Wencel Dentistry for the last three years. After the initial work on my lower teeth and upper denture of which I had outstanding results with both and over the years is still holding up very well, for anyone I run into needing dentist services besides my family that this is the dentist I recommend. The staff are very professional, experienced in their work of which makes for a very enjoyable dentist experience each time I go for follow up cleanings. Thank you to the office of Sobczak-Wencal Dentistry They keep me smiling..

Dr. Sobczak is the best dentist that I have ever had. I am sixty and have a sweet tooth, so I have visited many dentists, many times, and had many different procedures. Dr. Sobczak's staff are also excellent. Dr. Sobzack and his staff will give you the very best dental care.

8/6/19 This is the best dental practice I have ever used. They are technically superb and have excellent people skills. I have been kept well informed of what is needed and when. Their business office helps me determine the most effective use of my dental insurance. They care about my well being. The seven years we have been with Sobczak-Wencel Dentistry have been exemplars of friendly, professional service. I highly recommend the practice. 12/6/19 I wanted to update my comments as I am currently getting an implant done by Sobczak-Wencel Dentistry and am impressed by the process. The expense, time-line, and procedure are well documented. The process itself produces a minimum of discomfort while the work is being done - ibuprofen is pretty much all that is required for pain management after the procedure. I've had an other implant done by the doctor and it was smooth sailing all the way. I guess I'm trying to say whether you are having something as simple as a filling, or something big like an implant, the doctors and their staff do wonderful, empathetic work with sterling results. This is a practice you want to include in your health care solutions.
