Dr. Mokbel is currently a clinical assistant professor teaching Restorative Dentistry and Prosthetics at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry (USC, since 1983), specializing in all restorative dental procedures to enhance the appearance of your smile and to help those patients with complex missing teeth. He has extensive training in Prosthodontics including Cosmetic Dentistry, dental implants, periodontal treatment and full mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Mokbel has been practicing dentistry in California since 1984. He received his degree in Dental Surgery from France in 1978. He then pursued a research project and a teaching opportunity at the Univ. of Paris and earned a second doctoral degree (Doctorate in Odontologic Sciences) In Prosthodontics or DSO in 1982. He has since received many teaching awards.
As a member of The American Academy of periodontology, Dr. Mokbel is well versed in Gum recession treatment, gummy smile and bone grafting procedures. He has been treating advanced cases of Gum infection and bone loss with the Laser for many years, he is a very skilled surgeon with over 35 years experience.
Dentistry can be very complicated, beside working with your regular dentist (GP), Dr. Mokbel works with a team of specialists such as other Periodontists, Endodontists, Orthodontists, Oral and Plastic Surgeons. A team, that can handle almost every conceivable case.
For me being a Prosthodontist, and implant dentist is not just about fixing old dentures and making long span bridges, it is not about placing implants or restoring a badly worn dentition, for me it is about people. 'People are the best collectibles'
For the past 35 years, I spent a lot of time at USC, dental school, I was teaching Prosthodontics (Pros) in the international program. After I got my DDS degree in Paris, France I did a 4 years research in removable prosthetics and in occlusion, ( the science that relates to the bite and the TMJ), so when I came to USC dental school I found it easy to teach Removable and Fixed Prosthodontics. Now I am teaching Restorative dentistry in the Simulation Lab. With additional training in Periodontolgy (Perio) ( Science of gum disease treatment) and implantology, I understand and manage the Prosthetic gums and bone implications of complex situations more efficiently.
Our small and efficient team includes two experienced professionals. We believe in personalised dental treatment and that our care should be comprehensive and courteous responding fully to your individual needs and preferences.
Two experienced dental assistants: Danielle is our receptionist she is a Registered Dental Assistant-EF (Extended Function), she works with Guadalupe, our Back office assistant, together we insure that each individual patient is receiving the appropriate treatment and VIP care. We strive to make your visits as relaxing and comfortable as possible.

Since our first appointment, Dr. Mokbel and his staff have been fantastic. They were efficient, professional, and meticulous. He noted some swelling around my gums and recommended me to an oral surgeon, where a little tumor was discovered. We were able to discover it early and are currently undergoing the necessary treatments. I am grateful for everything they have done for me and would strongly recommend their services to anyone in the area.

Dr, Mokbel is masterful at his work. I have been his patient for more than 30 years. Dr. Mokbel takes all the time needed for the comfort of the patient. His work is very meticulous and worthy of a solid recommendation. I have just completed a crown replacement yesterday and I have not felt that area of my mouth better even before. I highly recommend Dr. Mokbel, no matter how difficult, simple or complicated the job is. Dr. Mokbel gets it done right!

I have been going to Dr. Mokbel for treatment of my periodontal and gum problems. Dr. Mokbel is by far the BEST dentist I have visited. He has the advanced skills and equipment and is compassionate and cares about his patients. I'm very fortunate to be under Dr. Mokbel's care. The office staff is professional and always very helpful. They take the time to listen to your concerns, provide you with a dental care plan and ensure your comfort during each visit. Danielle will create your care plan based on your needs and insurance coverage. I am amazed with the continuous study and new technology Dr. Mokbel pursues. A broken denture led me to Dr. Mokbel and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Mokbel has his own lab on site and creates the denture himself. Not only is he concerned with a perfect fit but Dr. Mokbel is equally involved with the aesthetics of the denture. In my case, the end result is beyond perfect. The office is calm and appointments are on time and never rushed. Thank you to Danielle, Margarita and, of course, Dr. Mokbel.

Dr. Mokbel is kind, gentle and incredibly knowledgable about dentistry. He has literally saved my smile!! I was referred to him last year, and I hope to continue with him as a permanent patient. His dental assistant/office manager, Danielle, is amazing.. she is a diligent, highly skilled professional who is incredibly comforting when you are a patient who is deathly afraid of dentists!
