I had a dental emergency recently and had not established with a dentist in Salem - still going back to AZ to my dentist there after 9 years. So I had to do some research and read reviews to find a dental practice here ....and I struck gold with Snyder Family! Dr. Nathan, Julie, Maricela, and Cassie are just wonderful. I will need some major work done and I feel confident in their professionalism and care. Second review - Just had to say once again how truly wonderful the entire staff at Snyder Family Dentistry is! I can't say enough about their patient care and professionalism...have you hugged your dentist today?

Very kind and professional staff. I've had the best cleaning done there, they got out stains (via a regular cleaning, not any special whitening or anything) that other dentists told me were permanent! Also everyone is super patient if you have anxiety. Highly recommended!

Swift, professional, efficient. Surprisingly painless, too. Needles and drilling without discomfort. I take my kids here too, and they're very good with small children. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely pleased with my experience. I had not been to the dentist in 27 years due to extreme fear. It came to a point where I needed a tooth pulled. They was so so much campassion and professionalism with some of the best treatment . I would recommend them to anybody with dental needs

Best dental experience I have had. Needed a bad tooth extracted and the staff and doctor was so patient and caring. Made me feel like part of their family.

Not sure if I would trust them with procedures, regular cleaning may be ok.

Overall good dental experience with one huge caveat My kids (2 and 9 years-old) were treated with great care by the Snyder dental team and Nathan Snyder speaks excellent Spanish so I didn't have to serve as a translator for my wife. Overall I would rate the visit four out of five stars on google. The only issue with the appointment that stands out was the office was closed when we were told to arrive. Normally that's not a big deal, but they insisted on three separate occasions (when I made the appointment, a call to check on the x-ray transfer from my previous dentist, and an appointment reminder call) to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early to fill out new patient paper work. I had to request those extra fifteen minutes off from work and skip lunch to make it when they asked, only to spend that time waiting in my car. I wish I could just end the review there, but about three weeks later I got a statement from them in the mail that showed I owe over $300 for that visit. I was stunned. I called Snyder Dental to see why I was being billed so much for basically some cleanings. I believe I spoke with Cassi, who was also the one I spoke with to make the appointment and the one who showed up late. She said we were out-of-network, so my insurance didn't cover as much. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My research beforehand showed otherwise. Before making the appointment I went to my dental insurance provider's website to make sure they were in-network. Both Nathan and Luisa Snyder are listed. Just to make sure, I also checked out the Snyder Dental website, which does show my dental insurance plan, Cigna, as one of the plans they accept. Turns out, Nathan Snyder works full-time at Snyder Dental and Luisa Snyder is part-time. She has her own dental office (about a block away) where she is full-time and Nathan Snyder is part-time. Luisa Snyder's office was in-network for me, but both names appear on my dental insurance provider's website, because Nathan Snyder is technically working at Luisa Snyder's office. This infuriating mess cost me over $300! During my call I asked Cassi why she didn't tell me during the appointment phone-call or the day of the visit that I was out-of-network, and she said, "no one ever asked me whether you are out-of-network". What drives me mad and the reason why I am dropping two stars from my review is this could have been prevented. It is true that I did not ask directly whether they were in or out of network, but I did ask, "do you accept my insurance?" and "are the cleanings and exams covered?" I cannot believe it did not occur to Cassi to let me know. Did she ever think, "huh, that's weird. He's going out of network for some routine procedures." Dentist appear to be a dime a dozen in Salem and the only reason I could see someone intentionally going out-of-network is if it was for emergency care. In my line of work, I help people make financial decisions that can cost them hundreds and possibly thousands if they make a bad decision. I make every effort to interpret their questions from every angle and put myself in their shoes to see where they are coming from. It should be no different for dental billing. To add insult to injury I paid an additional late fee with my bill because I couldn't afford to pay it during the holiday's.

My boys and I had to find a new dentist a few years ago, through Internet searches found Snyder Family Dentistry. Dr. Snyder and the TEAM have made the change easy, all are kind and make you feel welcomed (even if it was 6 months ago). Dr. Snyder has a calming voice which provides reassurance to this patient! My oldest son had two wisdom teeth taken out, he had no complaints of pain - only that he wanted something more to eat than liquids! Since I am a single older mom and one boy in college (soon two) and no dental insurance - the membership plan does help for my budget. Thank you! :)

I have huge fear of the dentist. After calling multiple places to pick a new dentist, I came upon Snyder Family Dentistry. From the first call to my patient visits, they have been absolutely amazing. I know I am a difficult patient, and I never been to a dentist office that made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I have never experienced a dental office who understands that patients are afraid of the dentist and work with you every step of the way. I couldn't anymore great full and thankful for them. They definitely have top of the line, care, tools, equipment and knowledge. I'm so lucky to have found them.

Love this place, I had always gone into dentist appointments very nervous before due to my past history with other dentists, but oh man... This place is the place you're looking for if you had the same problems as I did. Very polite, punctual, helpful & extremely caring of their patients. After my first visit I never once felt too nervous getting the rest of my dental work done, they even saved me from an infection in my gums without needing to sacrifice my tooth! You won't be disappointed if you go here, trust me!

Dr. Snyder is a caring, generous guy. I was in distress after some serious pain my son was experiencing late on evening and he met me at the office to do a thorough exam. I've even switched my own dental care to Dr. Snyder. Thankful for him and the great folks at his practice.

I had a great experience today. The staff is super nice. It's a relaxing yet professional atmosphere. The best thing was that the cleaning and xrays were not painful. The hygienist did a great job. The dentist is very friendly! I highly recommend this dental office!
