Dr. Steve grew up in Huntington, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. He continued his education at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Following graduation in 1976, Dr. Steve opened his practice in Byron Center at the practice's current location. A new office building was constructed in 1999. Dr. Steve is a member of the West Michigan Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He has received additional education in orthodontics and enjoys offering these services to his patients. Dr. Steve provides dental missions to the people of Kenya on a bi-annual basis since 2009.
Dr. Scott grew up in Byron Center and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wheaton College (IL) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He continued his education at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry. During his residency, Dr. Scott was trained in IV conscious sedation, implant placement and restoration, extraction of third molars (wisdom teeth) and endodontics (root canal therapy) in addition to other general dentistry procedures. During his time in Albuquerque, Dr. Scott had the opportunity to help start a non-profit dental clinic in association with East Central Ministries. Dr. Scott is a member of the West Michigan Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Scott and his wife Jillian have two children, Ella and Owen and a crazy schnoodle Maizy. In their free time, they enjoy golfing, watching Michigan football games, and being active in their church and community.

An excellent family dental practice. We've been going here for almost 30 years and never been disappointed. The Snyder's (Steve and Scott) are friendly and never recommend more than what's needed. They helped us manage 3 kids' dental needs including braces, retainers, and all the other things they need for healthy teeth. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Definitely NOT a kid friendly dentist office. I had to bring my 1.5 year old with me to my cleaning due to a change in my husband's work schedule and I was told the next available appointment wasn't until December. I was told it would not be a problem for my toddler to come with me when the office called me to confirm my appointment. I had also been told at previous appointments that I was actually encouraged to bring him so he could get used to the dentist by seeing me getting my teeth cleaned. This was not the case at all. The hygienist, Erin, was extremely rude to me when my son was crying at the beginning of the appointment because he was scared being in a new environment and asked me "is he going to cry the whole time?". She told me she "couldn't deal with a screaming child" and that I needed to reschedule my appointment. I had been actively trying to calm him down with toys, a movie on my phone and snacks and I wasn't concerned that he was crying because he's a toddler and was in a new environment. He was just scared, but would have calmed down eventually. It's hard enough to be a mom, but to feel so unsupported by a "family" dental office when I was trying to make time to take care of myself was extremely hurtful. I left the office in tears and I will be finding a new dentist for our family.

Got my teeth checked here first time after moving to Byron Center. Staff was super friendly and check-up went relatively fast. Strongly recommend.

I've gone here for many years and am always satisfied with their work. I had an old filling replaced on my last visit and Dr. Josh did a great job. No chance of my molar breaking anymore!

I love this office. I love all of the people here. I have a huge fear of the dentist which was only heightened by my horrible experience at the oral surgeon the other day. But I've always felt safe and less nervous at Snyder. I will continue to go to Snyder for my dental needs. Thank you for treating me with respect.

Amazing, recommend by my boyfriend who's gone here for years. I loved the environment and people. I was able to get my smile fixed as well from a past dentist. Not being able to color match my tooth that had bothered me for years. I will continue to receive care and fix things about my smile.

Had an emergency root canal done that failed after only 5 years. So on top of the root canal and crown, I had to pay $500 to have my tooth removed. The last visit I made here, I had two metal fillings in my upper back teeth, one was overfilled. I had found a new dentist at this point and they indicated that there was decay back there already and that we needed to keep an eye on it. Today, eating pizza crust, my back tooth broke in half. So now I've lost all trust in dentists and am panicked beyond reckoning of having another root canal done only to have it fail a few short years after. Staff was friendly here, but I would NEVER go back here. You couldn't pay me to go back here!

The last name got me through the door but the environment and staff kept me coming! My experience at "Snyder Family Dentistry" has been excellent everytime. The staff has taken time to answer any questions I have had and they do a great job in getting back to you right away. Doctor Scott was my dentist and he does an outstanding job and answers all your questions you may have. He is someone you can trust to do a great job with your teeth! If you want excellent service I recommend this location.

This is a great dental office. I was concerned about a tooth. They got me in within a few days. I saw Dr. V. She was thorough and showed me how to care for my teeth. There were really 3 involved. They also were able to schedule a cleaning in a cancellation.
