Good dental health requires a professional that is consistent and committed, as well as a patient who is personally devoted. We genuinely care about our patients smiles, which is why we make sure they understand and stay on track with their treatment requirements, correcting dental problems before they result in more extensive needs or even the loss of a tooth.
At Snow Hill Dental Associates our dentists are well credentialed with advanced training and countless hours of experience. It is our standard of care to explain to our patients what to look out for when it comes to receiving dentistry and even show you before and after images demonstrating the quality of our work.

Dr. Benjamin Strahl grew up in Columbia, Maryland and spent his summers in Ocean City. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, graduating Cum Laude. While at Duke, Dr. Strahl spent time abroad studying in Spain and traveling throughout Western Europe. After college and before deciding upon a career in dentistry, he spent six years based in Manhattan working in investment banking and private equity. In the course of Dr. Strahls career in the finance industry, his global assignments took him to cities such as Hong Kong, Seoul, Paris and London.
In 2007, Dr. Strahl left the world of finance and attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. After dental school, he completed the highly regarded General Practice Residency program at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Strahl treated veterans and focused on advanced dental procedures such as surgical implant placement and full mouth reconstruction. Subsequent to his post-graduate experience, Dr. Strahl worked as an Associate at a top private practice in Washington, DC where he continued to grow his skill set in procedures such as cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign and digital dentistry.
Dr. Strahl is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is a candidate Fellow for the Academy of General Dentistry. He also participates in several nationally renowned study clubs including the Pankey Institute, and Spear Education.
As an avid saltwater fisherman with a passion for the Eastern Shore, Dr. Strahl is excited to provide high quality, advanced comprehensive dentistry for patients of Snow Hill Dental Associates. He resides in Berlin with his wife Shailyn and their dog Ellie.
Dr. Ryan Mariner was born in Salisbury, Maryland and grew up in Snow Hill. After graduating from Stephen Decatur High School, Dr. Mariner earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology at Salisbury University, while minoring in Art, Chemistry, and History. Dr. Mariner attended the worlds very first and highly prestigious University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed an oral surgery clerkship. While attending dental school he was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, advancing his knowledge beyond the scope of the pre-doctoral curriculum.
Dr. Mariner is a dedicated volunteer at Mission of Mercy events around Maryland, including those in Salisbury, Waldorf, Cumberland, and Baltimore. Through these events, he has provided much needed dental care to Maryland residents at no cost to them.
As his last name suggests, Dr. Mariner enjoys anything in or on the water, including surfing, wake boarding, boating, and fishing. Along with these activities, you can find him relaxing on the beach during the summer, checking out some of the fantastic restaurants and craft breweries the area has to offer, glassblowing at the local University, drawing, and as always, spending time with his loved ones.
Dr. Mariners passion for his family, friends, and the Eastern Shore has continued to draw him to the area. Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset, and the surrounding counties of Delmarva are his home. It has been his dream to become an active member in the community that has given him so much. Dr. Mariner is thrilled to use his first-class education, combined with his notable background in the arts, to provide the very best Dentistry the Eastern Shore has to offer. Having been a lifelong patient of Snow Hill Dental Associates, hes committed to continuing the trend of providing the highest level of care with honesty, kindness, and compassion.

Dr. Mariner is the best! I saw him for lip filler and he did an amazing job. It was my first time getting this done and I was nervous but he put me at ease, answered all my questions, and was fantastic! They look so natural and beautiful. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I had a wonderful experience getting my lips filled with Dr. Mariner. I have been going to different people over the years for lip filler, but no one ever came close to the service Dr. Mariner provided! He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, funny and really takes the time to find out the outcome you desire. Thank you so much Dr. Mariner for your wonderful service, my lips look fantastic!

I am new to the rural Eastern Shore moving here from a large metropolitan city. One of my concerns in moving was the quality of medical care here. I was delighted with the care and expertise of Dr. Strahl and Dr. Mariner. They are masters of up-to-date and best practices. I have had extensive dental work done during my life, so I ask a lot of questions. Dr. Strahl was very patient with me and explained, in terms I could understand, the pros and cons of my treatment options. The support staff is fantastic as well. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was friendly and did not rush during the procedure. The dental assistants work fluidly with the dentists. They know exactly what instrument will be needed next and have it ready in hand. Finally, the front desk ladies are always happy and helpful even when many things are happening at one time; phone ringing, scheduling, and payment options. This team meets all my expectations and more.

Dr Mariner worked on my 77yo grandmother and physically injured her. He also broke off he tooth and sent her home in pain. She made another appoitment and they just told her they don't want to fix it. Bear in mind this has all been paid for now they do not even want to give her money back for work they never did

I am a retired health care provider. I know good practices from mediocre practices and a good team from a weak team. It starts with the front desk personnel. The front desk staff at Snow Hill Dental are top notch. They are always smiling and are very capable of answering questions about scheduling and insurance. The dental support staff at Snow Hill are very professional. They are very knowledgeable and I have witnessed them easily calm down a nervous patient . The Snow Hill community and Worcester county is lucky that Drs. Strahl & Mariner chose to work in Snow Hill. What I most appreciate about them is they put the CARE of the patient first. They do what is BEST for the patient not what is easiest.

***PLEASE READ*** I was a certified dental assistant for over 30 years and worked for a handful of dentists. I came into Snow Hill Dental as a new patient and have seen Dr. Mariner several times to have work done. He is lightyears ahead of where he should be in his career. I will not be going anywhere else as long as he is around. This young man has a bright and successful career ahead of himself, and the staff is absolutely delightful to be around. I leave every appointment smiling.

Dr. Mariner is an artist. I came in for a chipped front tooth and was very worried. Dr. Mariner was able to see me the same day I chipped my tooth and he fixed it right away! He took care of me and it's impossible to tell the difference from my other front teeth, it's perfect!

I am extremely happy with my recent decision to switch to Snow Hill Dental Associates. I commute from Ocean City because the service is so great. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by an overwhelmingly friendly staff. My appointments are always prompt which is rare in this industry. Dr. Mariner is by far and away the most professional and detail oriented dentist I have ever worked with. All of the dental assistants are extremely caring and do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who asked!
